I'm pretty sure a decent amount of people that go to UTI go in there not knowing all too much, I'm sure the school expects that. I wouldn't worry about getting into more then you can handle

And sorry to hear about that, atleast you're in touch with him now though. I know it's not like you're situation but my parents got divorced when I was 4 so I didn't get to see my dad much

I say if it's something you want to do then don't let anything stop you

Hahaha, and to think, it's not even fully stripped yet lol

Thanks though, the wiring definitely is a headache, and I can say that just by looking at it is easily going to be the hardest part of this build lol

I just don't know. I mean the reason i would want to go to UTI is to learn everything i need to know about my car so i know what I'm doing, and how to go about doing it by myself. But I'm just not sure if being dirty and sweaty all day hunched over and laying under a car all day is my kind of job. I really want to look into aftermarket body work and custom stuff.

But hey, who says you can't do it all.

Dang man. Crazy nice work. And lots of it. I have been going through some threads and let me tell ya. I have never been more inspired.

I have recently gutted my car as I am getting ready to redo the whole thing. Full out rebuild.

I got some questions for ya.

1. The gauge cluster that you have, what is that from? I really want one like it.

2. Is the wiring really as bad as it looks?

I am debating on wether or not I should take it out and get under the dash completely and clean. I have almost all of it off. But none of the wiring or the bar.

Nice work though.

Well thank you very much, I love reading everyones comments it help keeps me motivated on this thing lol

I would pull it all off. It really doesn't take long and plus you can clean it all up under there. I'll have to post some before pictures of the wiring under my dash. It was spliced into, relays everywhere for the shitty alarm and keyless entry...it bugged me how bad it was so I just pulled it all apart and definitely glad I did lol

It's really not that hard, it's more so complex. Since I pulled off almost every connector, relay, etc. there's a lotttt of wiring you need to keep track of. As long as you label each one, make diagrams, take pictures etc it's not that bad. I think I'm around 60-70 cuts so far, got a little more to go. I'm also going to be pulling out the AC wiring/relay, ASCD and clutch interlock relays/wiring, and probably the diagnostic plugs since they're useless wiring now

Awesome. I will probably go through with it then.

And that gauge cluster? What is it from?

Can ya tell I'm new to nissan? LOL

Ah, sorry I musta skipped over that lol

It's a HUD cluster, came in coupes. They also have a HUD that is on top of the dash and projects onto the windshield, pretty shnazy I'm going to be installing one when I do my other dash

That's is correct. I found one cheap, needs a little work nothing serious though. Going to look at it tomorrow

I figure if I have to buy a cheap car why not one I know my way around and have tons of parts for already haha

I was also thinking the same. But ill wait till its dropped. Then i will need a DD. I cant stand driving low cars haha.

but we need pictures
