Greetings 240sxforums user. I’d like to welcome you to my thread. :welcome:
The picture you see above is of my newly acquired Sandstone Beige Metallic (KG4) 1992 S13 240SX SE. How did I get it? My Aunty. How much did I get it for?………….FREE.99…………
(and a little help carrying a vase (with the help of a well known friend here
, installing surround sound equipment and computer troubleshooting/networking) lol. Anyway like I said I got it from my aunty. She’s the first and only owner. Long story short, this was supposed have been my grad gift back in 08’. Things got complicated, timing went bad with the economy, blah blah blah, yada yada…but on July 21st the transfer was made and finally the car was titled and registered under yours truly.
Enough of the small talk, let’s move on to specs shall we……
Car has: OEM everything. (cept’ for battery, oil, oil filter, air filter, coolant, brake pads and the silly trim around the car. >__<).
Clocking in at just over 106K mi, the engine feels very healthy and runs perfectly fine. The only trouble it came with upon receiving it was a starter and key cylinder ignition problem. While casually going out for a late night cruise to Wal-Mart for miscellaneous goods, the car didn‘t want to start upon leaving the parking lot:scratch::thumbsdow. Basically, I used a plier to keep the key stuck in the START position because the car wouldn’t stay ON while key was in ON position. As of 2 a.m. on this very fine day, a well known friend of mine here
happened to crack two birds with one stone…or should I say………one fuse rather…..…and now it starts just fine:thumbsup .
Now that we’ve gone through specs we can move on to more pics…
Here’s how I got it initially.
Here it is after a brisk wash and tire conditioning.
(Wal-Mart guy ain't me............btw)............
One for the interior people....
Yes. The dash is uncracked. Yes. The seats are not torn. Yeas the shift boot is not torn/original. Yes the wheel is :lamende: and yes i will continue to rock doodoo brown like it's nobody's business.
My Aunty was kind enough to notify me that she had broken a bottle of wine in the trunk. But not so kind as to clean up the spill >__<‘. So here’s how it looked like…
And after some Citrus Power cleaner and some elbow grease....voila’.
My plans for the car is as follows:…………………..drive it. Well obviously right? XD no well…..I don’t want to rush into getting parts and stuff for the car just yet. I want to be able to enjoy it in it’s original form. Then slowly but surely, add a few things here and there. I’m not set on what kinda parts or modifications I want to do with it, but I will know in time. I mean it’s not like I got money burnin’ holes in my pocket either lol.
Well I hope you enjoyed my introduction. I look forward to learning more about the car and having major fun with it. :thumbsup
Oh….I almost forgot to mention…….I’m really one of those DIY kinda guys. I mean I try to do things as much as I can myself, I just love the satisfaction it brings me. But in case I’m in need of assistance, I’ll ask for help from this very well known friend of mine…………..:werd
