Did more work on the car...or rather "in" the car. Just touched up on the interior a lil bit....and a lil on the exterior actually. got the front end plus doors and trunk, polished, buffed and waxed. Treated the windows to some waterspot remover and Rain x ( works GREAAT). Attempted to clean carpet using nearly 15 y/o cleaning solution (which worked) but not pristine...but at l east i got all the random remnants of my aunt's mess out. :gaah:

SMALL UPDATE!

I picked up a few parts from a guy i meet on a local forum...

Supposedly this is a Cusco bar, but i highly doubt it.....there's no engraving anywhere....supposedly .."the sticker got taken off"........

Image

Image

ell i got that bar^ and this here bar for $20 bucks. looks ebay....but w/e...beats paying for shipping. will upgrade to legit GTSpec or something later...
Image

and i picked up these Tokico lowering springs. $40 bucks. supposedly they have only 300 miles on em.......but w/e they look okay.

Image

So next update in the future will (hopefully) be of the car and inch or whatever lower and a bit stiffer. if you're wondering, these springs are going on the stock struts. like i said.....pockets ain't deep.

those springs look like new,
looking forward to seeing your car lowered

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

So the other day 240kid and myself threw the lowering springs on the car. Initially i was gonna rent out a spring compressor kit from Checkers (O' Reiley) or NAPA. But they we're asking 60 bucks as collateral.....which i didn't have :gaah:

So the kid called up his cousin, and we drove out bout 20+ something miles and picked one up.

Here is pics of the install:

Initial measurement of the rear.

Brakes off and strut removed. That's moisture from a leking power steering hose:gaah:

This is what the stock strut compared to Tokico spring looks like........compressed.

HOLY MOTHER OF *****

that's all for now 240sxforums. next update....mmm not too sure. i really dunno what's next for the coupe. i'm still in the process of cleaning it up some. so perhaps more shots of the car a bit cleaner will follow. thanks for stopping by for now! :dancer

Haha, didn't think you'd post the last pic :p

Drop was about 1.5" Front and ~1.0-1.5" Rear. I didn't measure the Rear yet but front brought it down 1.5"
My thoughts on the spring, nice drop, too soft. Sadly over 90% of the Springs sold out there for our chassis at least are mis-matched. Take these for instance, 1.5" Drop but the Spring rates are only 10-20% Stiffer then stock (According to Tokico). Suspension travel was about 1.5-2.0" before using the bump stops, which now is very often. The only springs I think suiteable for these kind of drops are the RS*R Race Springs and the MR Springs. KG/MM's also but nobody knows about em ;)
But he is planning on coils so, meh...

I'm just glad the gun didn't explode. Stupid me still used it after it separated :p lmao (eh dummy)

lol thats pretty wild about the impact gun.

your car is looking good there mitch. good job.
