In good news, last night I bought a Walmart car cover for the s14 for only $20. This will keep water out of the trunk and hopefully make the car less of an eye sore until its painted. I'll take some pictures with the cover on Wednesday. Hopefully for $20 the cover works for what I need.

Honestly, you'll never pass a plug in emissions test with a single cam... Unless you can figure out how to make an 8bit ECU look like a 16 bit OBD2 car and make all the emissions crap function, egr, evap, o2 readings, transmission codes, etc.

Wait for boostin's OBD2 motor / ECU, it will save you from a lot of issues.

With Uncle Sam not giving Casey his monies I don't know if I can wait. I might just throw the SOHC in for temporary, but I don't know how worth it would be swithing everything over. Bahh I think I'm gonna do it just because hardly anyone has.

Got the cover on last night, but it was too late for pictures. Its fits really well for a $20 universal Walmart car cover. I also installed my S13 steering wheel and front drivers seat. She is starting to look more like a car and not a trailer.

Yeah well until you get the SR I have to. I'm not spending +$200 on a motor that I'm just going to beat around with so the SOHC will have to do. Plus its USDM TYTE!

Another thing I thought of is the SOHC I'm picking up is auto so I'll have to convert it to manual. I have two extra manual KA transmissions so the only thing I would need (other than various little stuff) is a clutch and flywheel combo. I have a KA DOHC flywheel and DOHC SPEC Stage 3 clutch sitting my garage too. I've read that if you swap the flywheel from SOHC to DOHC you can use a DOHC clutch aswell. I knew there was a reason I was hording all these parts in my garage.

The bling factor of the SOHC S14 is definitely a must, but I really want to be able to drive it on the roads under registration. If only I can some how trick the emissions techs that the s14 came with a ka24e.
