Back again with another problem lol. Anyways got my 90' 240 it's ran 100% fine since I bought it but now that the weather has gotten colder it's dieing when I need it most. Well we had a week of really cold weather with a ton of snow it got to -38C without the wind chill and my me and my 240 have been having a little fun in the snow  So I keep it plugged in and start it up and let it sit 5 mins or so when it's like -15 or so and like 10 mins if it's -20 or colder. So I'll go and the windows will start to fog up so I go and push the defrost button and put it on 2 or 3 and nothing happens. I'll slide it to all different settings 1-2-3-4 and absolutely nothing will blow out, hot or cold. After trying to drive not being able to see to school by the time I'm 2 mins away the damn thing will turn on and start blowing air. When it's not working if I try to push like head, head and feet, feet and defrost or any of those I'll just hear what sounds like a little motor humming for like 2 seconds then it goes away with no air. It's recently warmed up a bit this week where it was actually above freezing and 8 or 9 out of 10 times the air comes on right as I start or within like 2 mins of me starting it. I've also noticed while it's on 3 or 4 when it's loud it almost comes and goes like on 4 it will go full blast like 4 normally does for about 2 seconds then it seems like it goes to about a 2 and switches back and forth just while driving like the fan is trying to die.

Any info on what it could be I really appreciate it and I'm not very good with cars btw still learning lol but while searching I came across another guy on these forums that posted like 3 or 4 years ago about him having problems then he found this and cleaned it and it was good. I have no idea if this could be my problem or if I have to buy a whole new thing. Anyways thanks guys here's that pic and I have no idea what it is lol.

I had an issue with the fan selection speed once. The 1/2/3/4 selector switch. The number 4 stopped working and would only work at random. I took it out, and took apart the module and found out the power wire (on the circuit board) had melted and broke. It must have gotten pretty damn hot because some of the plastic around the area was slightly melted as well. Swapped in another module and solved that problem, lol.
If you have some extra time on your hands try removing the blower fan and see if it spins good. (balanced and not broken or clogged) It could just be really dirty like in the pic you posted.

I just saw a DIY (with pics) for this the other day, but I cannot find it, lol. I'll search around for it, and hopefully post it up later.

I've been searching to see if I could find anything similar but nothing lol. If you don't mind looking and posting it if you find it I would greatly appreciate it so I can see while driving lol. Do you know what site it was on? Thanks for the help!

It shouldn't be too bad, lol. Once you get the glove box and kick panel out of the way, you should be able to get to it pretty good.

Yeah that's true just a bunch of screws I guess lol. I'm happy too because from day 1 my car has always misfired and got pretty bad gas mileage and within the past month or so one of the cylinders wouldn't fire sometimes so I decided to go and do it lol. I switched from Bosch to NGK plugs, bought new plug wires, new rotor and distributor and dumped some injector cleaner in the gas tank and what do you know it still misfires and while driving home from work that night the one cylinder didn't fire again. I was sure it was my damn injectors of course it had to be something expensive. So I decided to buy a fuel filter and change that tonight, fired her up and it seemed to run a bit better, let it run for like 2 mins and wow it ran so much better it sounds better, is more responsive while revving and the engine barely even moves now. So I took it for a 10 min or so drive and it felt like I just dropped a turbo in lol so much more power so I'm pretty happy now. Anyways that's my story for the day :D

Yeah I'm so glad it did I always see people talking about the distributor or the injectors so I did the ignition and was sure it was the injectors until my dad said maybe it's a good idea to do the fuel filter because it's right here so I thought might as well for $16! Makes a world of difference and my friend is lending me his tool to check the timing either tomorrow or wednesday so I can check my timing and make sure that's good too!
