Hold the flames....
I searched and the post with the most info in it was from 2003 so i did not want to bump it.

They say in there that if you have 3 lines coming from the MC then theres no ABS, but if you have 2 then you have ABS.

Another post I found while searching said if you have Hicas or an LSD then you automatically have ABS. I have Hicas, and an LSD as far as i know, so now i have conflicting informatio as i think i have 3 lines coming out of the MC (which would imply no ABS)

I have a 1991 SE.

Can someone take a look at this picture and confirm if i Do or Do Not have ABS?

Gee why didnt I think of that... oh because the car has no plates, needs brakes for a safety inspection to get the plates, and hence why im posting on a forum :tongue4:

Dont know why its so hard to help a fellow 240 owner out, especially after I have made the effort to search and still have not got my answer....

Again...
No plates = no registration = no insurance.

I totally understand thats the most effective way (believe me, i appreciate the help you guys are trying to give), however in my case, its also the most lawbreaking. That and with a clutch that starts slipping before the wheels do on these icy manitoba roads so if i take the risk of backing it out of the driveway, its not getting back up there.

Not sure how it works in anyone elses area, but here an unregistered vehicle parked on a road gets a fine and possibly towed.

Too much risk involved, hopefully someone will chime in that can just take a quick look at the picture and help me out.

Sure would like to get the brake pads and rotors ordered soon so I can start getting the car ready for summer :D

From your pic I can see a ASCD Actuator and that comes on Non ABS models, its behind the passenger strut tower. So I will have to say no go on the ABS.

ZenkiS14,
Appreciate the reply and the pic!!
Just want to double check, i think you mean can't see an ASCD actuator and therefore i have a non abs model?

EDIT:
From your picture, it looks like I also have the "windshield wiper amp" seen in my engine bay here http://badams.ca/images/thecar/IMG_0028.JPG

Going to order up rotors and pads for a non ABS!

Really appreciate it Zenki!!

From the pic I posted it has two actuators, the abs actuator that is located on the driver side behind the strut tower which I did not see on your picture. Instead, I seen the actuator on the passenger side behind the strut tower which was included on the non abs model.
