new to nissans. my 93 240sx hatchback

so i am new to nissans. just picked up a 1993 240sx hatchback.
so here she is

Engine:
KA24DE
no power steering
no ac
automatic =(
i believe it is the KA out of a 98 (that is what the seller told me)

Interior:
stock except momo steering wheel
driver seat is torn

Exterior:
primered..

Suspension:
Bielstein coilovers
17" Volk Te37 black

ICE:
cheap kenwood deck
momo series Polk Audio front and rear speakers

Future Mods:
New Paint, probably black for now
different coilover system
auto to manual swap
alpine head unit
buddy of mine is selling me his momo series subs
fiber glass box
new windshield
different interior (carpet, reupholster the seats)
just a short list of what i want. more to come

yeah. i dont really want to go all out right now. because i am pretty strapped for cash. but i will do the 5speed swap as soon as possible. i think there is something wrong with the tranny as it is right now. because it just doesnt feel right. i am at a stop light and she starts shaking violently and the idle bounces from 7-9 back and forth. but stops if i put her in neutral or park and the idle is pretty steady at 800 maybe goes up to 900 every once in a while..

that happened with my buddies 240, and actually he had a busted tranny, and then the driveshaft busted up too because of the busted tranny. get it looked at asap.

With your AIV disconnected, you might have a vacuum leak by the airbox. I'd start there.

check the wiring if its obd2 then its out of an s14

id scope the motor and trans mounts first before having some clown look at your car. odds are they are shot to hell or not tight enough. common honda problem. my gf has owned 3. all of which did this.

thanks for all the suggestions. will definetely check all those!
as for leaks. i do think i found a leak. the 5/8 inch hose (may be smaller. i dont know) close to the fire wall is cracked and as i put my finger near it it sucked my hand in (that sounds over dramatic) but it had a "vacuum" effect on my hand =P will replace those for sure! but will look at the AIV as well and plug that up as well

ha. i gotcha. thanks. i have plans =) but first i need to get cash in my pocket again =P and time... college sucks.. its easy as hell... but just so damn time consuming (i am the kid that doesnt pay attention to a word the professor says yet still gets straight a's)

I feel ya.! I wish i could just work all day for 6 days a week and just dump that money into my car! I got plans but ita just money that holds me back!
