low knock sound in 60k SOHC swap

ok DTkim(smiley garage) got my engine in and runs beautiful,
ive been babyin her since to break it it slow.
granny shiftin at like 2.5k rpm
i made a trip to the shore to visit family n stuff.
was goin 65 whole way, never reved past 3k

got off exit ramp and makes very low knocking noise at bout
2.1-.3k RPM as i was moving away from exit ramp toll.

it is very low and after 3k dissapears then comes back at bout 4k

any idea wut it is? all help and advice will be greatly apptreciated

im thinkin a loose bearing so im replacing bearings 2morrow at DTkims shop

I say the bearing in your water pump is going out. Cheack your radiator to see if its full. My water pump made that nasty ass sound. i got scared beocuse i though i trough a piston.

Anything above 2000RPM that tapers off around 3500 sounds to me like rod bearings. I had the same thing drive me crazy for about a month and I just sucked it up and changed the bearings. No problems after.

how much does replacing the rod bearings usually cost

if u do it ur self it takes like 2 hrs or so and it costs bout 25 bux for a set of main bearings from advance auto, and most parts places
