SO a lady tells me octane is an imaginary measurement because it was on the news in an experiment to prove your paying over a dollar more per gallon for nothing...
as much of a motor fan as i am, i wanted to crush her skull... but as much of a skitzo as i am, it REALLY put the hurt on my wondering about it.. i always wondered, but never questioned it.
OBVIOUSLY, octane helps put resistance on the cumbustion levels, making it good for high performance cars and gas mileage... where as low octane burns alot easier and quicker, making it hazardous and supposedly causes detination in high performance and high turbo engines...
well apparently thats all a lie???
who do i believe? a google search just proved both theories so once again i'm busting my balls over something so funny. help
