Hey, So in my 240sx it seems like im the only one that can turn it on? Why would that happen? i dont do anything special i just turn the key and roll it over and it turns on. But whenever my friends try and turn my car on it just doesn't work. Doesn't roll over and wont start. Why is that? Is my car herby and it loves me??
Thanks for anything, i dont even know where to begin with this kind of problem. Kind of hard to sell the car if it only turns on for me.

Its not like its magic or something, obviously you must be doing something differently then they are.

Clutch all the way in to the floor, turn key all the way forward. Boom.

Is your little plastic piece that in the clutch pedal still there or loose? If it comes out, putting the clutch to the floor the clutch safety button will just go through, but someone with a bigger foot may be able to hit it where others cant.

The S14 doesn't have a weight sensor in the seat does it?

For testing purposes, take the car out of gear. Manually go to the floor board and push the little black clutch safety button by hand and see if it starts.

Second option, worn tumbler. When turning the key, put downward pressure on the key while turning it, then pushing harder in, then apply upward pressure, there is something you are doing different that they are not.

Push button would still need the key to turn. You can probably find a lock/ignition set off someone on Zilvia, hit up the classifieds and part-outs.

Thats me, Biff Tannon.

Now make like a tree and get outta here...
