I have no Boost or exhaust leaks. Sometimes I hit solid 14 psi and most of the time im running like 6-10psi. Or it will spike 10-14ish then drop to 6.

Check your "out" vacuum line from the sbc to the wastegate actuator, possibly kinked or loose.

Something similar happened to me, but I had a MBC. The center screw fell out, allowing a random amount of air through.

Well there are two outputs one is suppose to be blocked off and the other goes to wastegate. The top is suppose to be feed.

When I unblock it it does the same thing.

So you have 1 "feed" and 2 "out" lines?

"Feed" goes to the intake, 1 of the "out" lines go to the wastegate, and the 2nd "out" line is blocked...correct?

Yes sir. And like I said even when I uncap the 2nd out it still does the same thing.

1) Was it working before, or did you just install it?

2) Switch the 2 "out" lines and see if anything changes.

3) Did you adjust the gain on the controller? From what I have been reading, when you adjust the gain, it may cause a difference in psi in each gear.

^ Are you having similar problem like this person did? I've dealt with only a handful of EBC, so I'm not really keen on 'em.

I installed it a month ago and wasn't consistent. But I had a exhaust leak at the turbo manifold so I assumed it was that. Well I just fixed the leak today and did a boost leak test and fix three leaks. Now its slower than before lol.

Every post I find on internet has only the 2 ports on selinoid I have 3. I think my gain is at 15 and Im running automatic mode. But I played with both all the same.

The top boost source line seemed a tad wiggly so I hose clamped it. Its holding 13-14ish and dropping to around 10. So I turned the boost down to 7 psi and it still went to 14ish.:gaah:

wntsum, it could be a bad MBC.

Example, I had a one where you twist the cap. Well, I wanted to go 15psi but the MBC would only allow 12. So I removed the cap and unscrewed the center screw even more. I reached 15psi until the virbration from the car loosened the screw and it fell off, causing random psi changes when I drove.

1Fastr1, You said that you boost leaked checked your car, but is it possible that there still is a leak?

Also, your BOV can slowly be leaking air from the hot pipe when your making boost. Check the vacuum line that goes to it.

Is your BOV adjustable?

Yes its adjustable. Wouldn't a boost leak test show it leaking. With the tester I held solid 15psi.

I'd play around with the BOV to make sure it's not releasing air prematurely.

I was just making sure that you didn't have a leak, cause that is what it sounds like. But if you held 15psi, then your definetely good.

Yes I def held 15psi and nothing was leaking. So im starting to think my boost controller isnt working properly.

Now its boosting like 15 psi. No matter what its set at.

Im so fed up. Today I raced a stock rb20 and stomped its guts out I was running solid 13.6 psi. Now all of a sudden im boosting to 16+. So for now just ran boost source to wastegate and staying at my 6.5 psi.

Wth is going on? I think my bc is shot.

Could possibly be the wastegate actuator.

Is it internal or external? Stock garrett unit if internal?

My HKS Actuator did something similar to me on the dyno last week. Hit the set 15 PSI then would creep...and creep....and creep....and creep. Boost controller was good. Decided to take it off to be sure. And also lengthen the actuator rod so it was set at 10psi. Same shit.

Took it off and put the Garrett actuator on that my 2871 came with, held 10psi till redline no BC.
