Soo, i got this car off my one friend who had plans for it, but had no motivation. His loss is my gain i guess haha. Anyways, i got the shell for $650 with wheels and an exhaust. It has no engine, still has trans in it though. Pretty much no rust on it at all. Little pin dents here and there but its pretty flawless. It must of been wrecked before seeing as it has a different color eyelid on the passenger side and the bumper was never painted after it was put on, its just straight bare plastic. Now where to start.....
Did you ever winch a car on a trailer with ratchet straps and a slightly turned steering wheel with no key to unlock it? I did.
I think shes a little overloaded.
I found an engine in NJ for 200 bucks, so me and my buddy set out on a road trip to get it. Only problem was we took his little protage. I wasn't leaving empty handed so this is what happened.....
It fits right??? Believe it or not it didn't fall out during the 3 hour trip back home.
After getting some keys made i got it off the trailer and in my garage. I started prepping the engine compartment for the engine. Some little rust on the inside of the front wheel wells, but nothing too bad.
Got the new M/T pilot bushing pressed in. Man was that automatic bushing a bitch to take out. Drilled out a broken exhaust stud, ill just use a bolt in place of it. Cleaned the engine off a little bit, and hit it with some gloss black ceramic engine paint.
It's in. It runs pretty good.
I love them hubcaps... nott.
New wheels on the back, the other two wheels got bald ass tires on them, soon to get new ones.
More updates here soon, check back.
