Hello everyone. This will be my first build thread on this forum, and im going to try to document as much as I possibly can. Zilvia wouldnt let me start a build thread, so im doing it here, now. Im calling this Stage 2, because the first stage was just the initial motor swap. Stage 2 will consist of full wiring harness rewire, wire tuck, full suspension setup, fixing all the problems (yes there are a ton), 2way swap, etc etc. This is Stage 2 of the build.

Background on the car:

Engine:RB25DET from an R33 Skyline series 2 motor
Apexi Cone Filter
Isis Intake manifold
Q45 80mm Throttle body
Misimoto radiator
Electric fans
TIAL blow off valve
Blitz turbo timer
Mines ECU
Mckinney downpipe

Tranny/Driveline:Stock 5-speed Transmission
Mckinney Mounts
R33 Crossmember
Mckinney Driveshaft
Welded diff

Suspension:Stance GR+ Coilovers
Orange Tree Toe Rods
Orange Tree RUCA

Wheels:5 Lug Conversion
MB Battle F:17x9.5 +15 R:18x9.5 +15
Red Blox Lug Nuts

I traded my stock sr20 s13 for this car. My s13 ran perfect, not a hickup. That thing was a great daily driver, and still runs amazing to this day.

May 2011:
When i got this car it had a bad boost leak at a spot that we could not find. We thought it was a leaky intake manifold gasket. It caused the car to idle like shit, and it hardly could start. Not to mention it made the turbo work overtime and it never hit its boost target. When looking under the hood, you can tell that the previous owner, or whomever did the swap did a very bad job with the wiring, and the vacuum lines. They did not take their time, and it looks like they just didnt give a shit at all. So after having it for about 3 days, I decided to tear it all apart and give it some well deserved love and attention.

Heres how the car looked when I got it.

Just by looking at the engine bay pic you can tell that it needs a lot of work. Well good thing is, thats what Im good at, and thats what I love to do. So this is going to be a lot of fun for me. Everything was just clustered, and looks like it was just 'shoved' in a corner.

So thats how it sits. No I did not do the swap myself (Thank god, id want someone to shoot me if my stuff came out looking like this shit! Although, that was probably the hardest part of the whole setup). No I didnt do the wheels (big deal), and no I didnt put on the suspension (yea again, big deal), but I do intend to make this car run like a dream, and be a fun, fast, drift car that sees track days and occasional races.

*To whomever put this motor in this car, and wired it the way you did, mounted the intercooler, radiator, fans, etc the way you did, and ghetto fixed everything the way you did, please dont ever touch another car ever again!!!!!! Thank you*
There...that feels better...*exhale*

Day 1:

Took the intake manifold off to find the leak. Bingo!

Its the hose going to the IACV. Makes sense why it wont start, or why it wont idle. That should be fixed tomorrow.

Previous owners awesomely horrible paint job on the manifold:

The wiring in this thing is horrid. The vacuum lines are a rats nest!
The powersteering lines arent even long enough to mount, so Ive got to extend them.

Its just a mess!!

One good thing, the intake valve side of the head looks good

So we started by fixing the boost leak first, then rerouting the vacuum lines. It cleaned up the engine bay a lot compared to what it originally looked like. The manifold is also no longer an ugly black, its now "aluminum" since Jess couldn't finish her polishing job.

So after rerouting some lines, shortening some, and actually mounting the IACV to the intake manifold, I decided to properly mount the powersteering reservoir. It was just hanging in the bay before, now its properly secured to the fender in the stock location.

Catch can time! boom, looks haggard, but ill fix that soon enough.

Greddy Strut Tower bar, and my custom brake booster heat shield

So thats a nice little update for the engine bay, im satisfied for now, and little by little ill start making it even more simplistic and clean. Right now it really just needs a bath!

Next up was the interior. Its pretty much all there so theres not much to improve upon, other than adding and repairing parts, but here goes.

While I was down there in the bay we hooked up my AEM truboost and mounted the gauge. Looks quite nice, and all the wires are nicely tucked away.

Drift knob! For all my crazy corrections and shit

Ahhh shit a Nismo shift knob, jDm yo. Found this shit somewhere
Image

Oh yea, gangsta. Valentine V1 hardwired and wire tucked son, shits awesome

Whos got bass? I do bitches. Sony Xplod (i know, shut up), Rockford Fosgate 400 watt amp, and 12" Rockford Fosgate Sub. Shit hits hard yo. Amps mounted in the truck along with the sub. Plus I replaced some of the stock speakers and mounted them in the rear deck lid. Also, youll notice the bass knob that Zack and I custom fit to the dash. Ballin! Its nice for a quick adjustment between songs.

Thought I wanted to sell the car, because I just didnt want to put anymore time in it. But then I thought to myself that this is already a great platform and ready to go, so I just decided to keep building it up.

Now Im redoing the entire wiring harness on the car. Im pulling every single wire out, and resoldering everything, repinning everything, and going to make this thing look awesome under the hood. Hopefully it will also fix my warm start issue.

Also decided to install my Kaaz 2way, subframe spaces and a few more goodies.
