lol thanks man. I try to keep this area of the forum alive by always checking in with the threads and then updating mine even if it's little stuff. Seems like the right thing to do -- giving back what little I can to the forum that taught me a lot when I was a total newb.

seems none is left cept yellow from time to time. come to think of it. the whole forum seems dead. has everyone gone to nicoclub, or has all the true 240 enthus's disappeared?? can't even find a wide selection of these cars on ebay anymore.

i think finally finally these cars hve been put on "rare" status. either there all clapped out, drifter garbage, or rarity tasteful ones like ours..

Hey, how you been man?

I'm glad you still got your car after all these years and finished it unlike most of us, LOL!

^ why do you spend so much on something that will inevitable be scraped, scratched, dented etc

Radianation I've been meaning to ask you, how is the balance of the car? Nose heavy or do you correct with good suspension settings? Excessive roll in the front? How's braking? Does the car seem too heavy?

The quality of the Japanese exhaust systems are like no other. So much so that I'm not really lowering my car at all because I don't want scratch, dent or bang it up. The car sounds soooo much nicer.

They do make awesome exhaust.
But sadly aftermarket didn't work for me.
I aimed at adding some weight on the back.
So a custom full 4" was the right way for me.
I did a light ss in the front with a low size wall. Almost Paper thin.
from the driver to the truck is a heavy metal aluminized steel thats as thick as my pinky.
Sure has 50+ pounds added on the back of my car.lol.

Last time on the track the car handled amazing. Best it's ever been. There were only two issues really:

1) Brakes. My master cylinder was overheating due to the hot turbo exhaust housing right there next to it. It was boiling my brake fluid and that got scary real quick on the straight.

2) I don't know the technical term but the suspension is pretty tight and the car is so low that when I take a corner and there is an elevation change, one wheel can easily lift off the ground and spin. This happens going out of turn 1 on the track I visit, which means I lose some time there. Otherwise, suspension setup is good. The car feels very well balanced and light.

At the end you car and mines are not the same.
But when I had my oem brake system such as brake booster etc.
I ceramic coated the brake booster and put a heat shield over the master cylinder.
Also I covered the brake lines to the master cylinder.
Heat shield.
That should be good enough for hpde.

I'll check if I have old pictures of my set up back then and post it bro.
Image

The view is from the front of the master cylinder.
Sorry it's the only picture I have.
It's a aluminum plate bent 90 degrees on the bottom and covered with heat shield tape
The same tape used to wrap up the lines.

Well, it's been discussed as a possible upgrade path. Once you do that it pretty much labels you as a serious racer on the track and most likely a douche bag on the street for those that don't understand the difference between a real performance wing for downforce on a RWD vs. a cosmetic wing on a FWD Honda, etc.

I tell you, it's really tough on corners. If you watch my video you'll see that I can barely give it much throttle input on corners at all. It's a point and shoot car at the moment.
