So this is the Project thread for my S14. Her name is Sasha. I did have a better name for my project until I decided to change the color I was gonna paint car (more on that later). Anyway my goal for this project is an extra clean show/go daily. Something that gets decent MPG but can really play on weekends. The car will have a little exotic influence & maybe a few modern upgrades.
I have the Project broken down into stages:
Stage 1:The Red Sonja Stage
Seafoam
CAI
Spark Plugs
Taylor Wires
New Cap & Rotor
New Battery Cables
New Phoenix Gold Terminals
Valve Cover Paint/Powder Coat
Grounding Kit
Lowering Springs
Tokico Blue Shocks
Master Bushing Kit
Adjustable Tie Rod Ends
Wheel Spacers
Interior Pieces Painted or Carbon Wrapped
Double Din Nav System
HID Projector Retrofit
LED Running Lights
LED Switchback Turn Signal Corners
New Fog lights
Smoke Tails
Repaint Front Bumper & Lip
Repaint Mirrors
Tint
Stage 2: The Sexy Stage
S15 Conversion
Custom Rear Bumper
Paint
All Black Interior
Re-Cover Door Panels
Racing Seats
350Z Front Brake Upgrade
Prism Lip Wheels
Stage 3: The Performance
SR20 Build & Swap
Dual Outlet Exhaust
Titanium Tips
Coilovers
The car's suspension was pretty beat up when I 1st got her. I'm looking for Stage 1 to be my brief stopping point on spending & to enjoy driving. Car has been a bit of a money pit since I got it.
I had originally wanted to paint the car pearl white, but after doing some searching on the net, I saw a ton of 240s/Silvias that were white. Pearl no less. I decided to go with my fav color blue. So when the time comes I'll pick out the perfect shade of blue to spray on.
Here's a few pics from when I 1st got it.
Here's a few pics of how it looked when I 1st got it
One of the rear calipers started sticking several months after I got it so I decided to upgrade the rears to 300ZX spec
I also switched the LEDs in the cluster
I've already painted a few of the interior pieces gloss black. The paint also has a very subtle metallic in it that I didn't notice until direct sunlight hit it. Not what I was going for but I kind of like it.
Had to sand the shit out of the gauge surround to remove that 90's texture everyone was so in love with.
I should have more updates soon so stay tuned....
Minor update. Seafoamed the car at 170000 miles today & crop dusted my entire neighborhood lol. Poured a little into the hose leading to the IACV & my idle issue appears to be fixed now. Should have a bigger update in a week or so.
