Well here are again! Have to get the car in decent shape a little sooner than expected since I'm getting rid of my current DD. So hopefully there's no more snow this winter lol. One thing I've done so far is I've finally installed my CAI.

Don't really like the blue. I'll be pulling it out later & painting it black.

Image

As you can see it's a full CAI system & goes down into the front bumper.

I'll have to be careful how I drive since I don't have my splash guard back on yet.

Also found out that the issue I've been having isn't the MAF as I switched MAFs with a friends recently and the car still acts up after driving for awhile. At this point I'm stumped & will be taking it to a shop for them to figure out as I don't really have anymore time to troubleshoot.

I've also installed 6k white LEDs in my corners as I had a corner light out. They look pretty good. Prolly won't have any pics up on that until I do my HID Projector retrofit which should be within the next couple weeks.

That's all for now stayed tuned....

Well good news is the car appears to be running a lot better than it was after getting the disty replaced. It even idles better. Some buddies and I tried to replace my shocks the other night and ran into a frozen bolt on the passenger front side. We tried EVERYTHING to get it out and it would not budge so I'm getting new hardware from a friend this week and we're gonna try next weekend to either cut it out or bang it out.

Yeah even though it's slow. Well finally ran into an instance where getting cheaper eBay parts is not the way to go. Found out that my aftermarket flywheel's teeth were not OEM spec causing the car not to start properly. Thought I had some time before I had to replace it, but on Friday when I tried to start it I heard a sound & then the car would start. I figured I jus grinded all the teeth out of it.

Come to find out the head of the starter somehow busted off so I had to replace my flywheel & starter. I jus went back to OEM for now, but eventually I will get a Fidanza flywheel after I have done more things on my list.

Also got locked out of my car Friday night so next week I'm having my Remote alarms system put in. This is my 1st car I haven't had a remote on. It's time that ends lol

Should have a nicer update coming soon.

Finally put my shocks & springs on. Thanks to the help from a few buddies got it done. Had to do some adjustments to the rear later on, but it rides 100 times better now.

Sorry some pics are blurry. New phone that is very sensitive.

Color is a preview of things to come!

Old & busted vs new hotness

Car now has acceptable wheel gap!!!

Although I'm still trying to figure out why the front is higher than the rear. The springs are supposed to lower it the same all the way around.

Anyway that's it for now. Stay tuned. It's coming slowly but surely.

Car will lower a lil bit after some driving .. new springs need to settle..

What brand springs?
What is suppose to be the drop?
M2 Springs which is a Megan Racing Subsid. Drop is supposed to be 1.75" all the way around

Springs have been settled in but front is still higher. Maybe for turning???

So far I enjoy them. Springs are stiff but not too stiff. Shocks work awesome too. Really a great combo. Gives me a lot more confidence in corners. Though later down the road I will invest in a good set of coils.

So finally a little bit of an update. I installed new Circuit Sports inner & outer tie rods, got all new tires & an alignment. The shop said my car was too low to get the camber back to spec but it's pretty close. Also have noticeably more steering angle. Also get more feedback in the wheel from the new ends which has let me know that I still have more work to do on the front suspension.

Anyways, for my Birthday last Monday, I decided to give myself a present.... Finally install my clear lenses, projectors and HIDs that I had had for nearly a year.

First off found out that the drop-in projector kit I got...well...didn't drop in

Image

Not even close to fitting inside the housing, so I decided to move on without the projectors.

When I got both lenses off, I noticed the driver's side was way off

Image

Come to find out the side to side aiming was broken and has to fix it manually. Not fun.

Image

Once I got the clear lenses on and let the silicon set for awhile I put in the HIDs & tried to make everything look as good as possible

And here you have the finished product

The pics really don't do it any justice though. It's almost like looking at a new car with the clear lenses in. The light output is better but for some reason the main beam is pretty narrow. I think it has something to do with the shields that came on the HID H4 bulbs themselves. I will probably put projectors in in the Spring. Just in case anyone is wondering they're 8000K.

Well that's it for now. Stay tuned.
