Good stuff dude- your front brakes (R33 GTS-25t) are the exact same dimesnios as the R32 GT-R, just in a newer, sleeker casting... Same hardware as Z32 30mm's, but on a 295 x 32mm roto-- pretty badass ;)

Not understanding why you got adjustable cam gears with Tomei Procams. They usually come pre-degreed for max performance on the stock gears. Also, are they the solid-type cams or the lash-type?

Yeah i already knew that about the brakes They are wonderful. The next brake mod for me is to get a Z32 master cyl and get the calipers powder coated. I think that would help out the brakes alot.

The poncams from tomei are preset for the stock cam gears. I have 270 duration procams with the solid lifter conversion. The cam gears have to be degree'd properly for me to get the max performance from them. I just read how tomei says to degree them and its the easiest way to do it I just hope it works out better than it has been for me.

Finally finished degree'ing my cams. The intake cam ended up being adjusted 1 degree retard and the exhaust cam needed 4 degrees retard. Now they are set and ready for the next evolution of work getting it ready to drop in the car.

Since i'm going to cut and fit my own intercooler piping and exhaust downpipe. I called Partshopmax to price welding. Looks like its gonna be fairly cheap for the welding. Just need to get my materials now.

I decided to pull the trigger and pull the KA out of the car for the RB to go in. Tonight i just pulled the KA. I am not going to paint the whole engine bay at this moment because i may be moving in another 4 or 5 months and cosmetics are not at the top of my list of things to do. Right now i plan on getting the RB in the car and running. After it is running good i will pull it back out and paint the engine bay. Here are some pictures from tonight. Sorry for the glares from the lights.

Went out to the garage to get some work done on the car. I pulled out the battery tray and various other brackets. and primed most of the engine bay. here are some pictures. I know the engine bay doesnt look too pretty i'm going to paint it after the engine is in and running.. This is mainly to cover the welds and the bare metal thats in there.

One bracket removed thats not needed.

Sorry thats all i have for now. Next weekend the engine should be going in its place for all the test fitting thats needed.

Here is a picture after i got the RB mounted in the engine bay. I have new cam bolts and a new plate on the way so dont worry too much with that. I currently have RB25 valve covers on which will be changed out for my rb26 covers. this is how it sits right now.

Here is a small update. The fans are mounted in the radiator support. The bumper support was hacked up and a bar was welded in. I need to add one more bar to help strengthen it up. Mounted the intercooler. Reclocked the turbo. I routed out my old 52mm vent panel for 60mm gauges. I found out my downpipe is gonna be more complicated than i thought. I'm going to have to 45 degree right out of the vband in order to miss the brake lines. I'm still toying with how i am going to have my wastegates. The Driveshaft is installed. I toyed with the inside trying to figure out how i'm going to route and the placement of my powerfc controller and boost controller. I'm probably going to remove the AC controls and put the radio up there and then mount them where the radio would normally go. I've just been doing the little things and just try to keep busy.

Well i have received some more parts for my build. This weekend isn't about installing alot of parts its just doing whatever is needed to turn my car in for welding. Tuesday I will be turning it in for my downpipe, wastegates, and intercooler piping to be made. Well here are some pics of the parts i got today.

My oil cooler. I dont know where i'm going to mount it yet. Shoot me some ideas if ya dont mind.

FC Datalogit. This thing is extremely small just need to get a Wideband sensor for it.

Walbro 400lph. Hopefully this will be enough. Once I kill this pump i'm going with a single intank 255 to a surge tank then an aeromotive inline pump to the fuel rail.

New battery relocation kit

New intake manifold. Castings look pretty good. All openings in it need to be deburred from the machining. As well as i'm going to port and polish the runners to match my head. But i can't complain quality seems to be good. We will see once i start bolting things to it.

Great pickup man! Hopefully I can make mine look and run as great as yours!

Just dropped my car off at the shop yesterday for my downpipe, wastegate piping, screamer pipes, and intercooler piping to be done the way i want them to. This includes 2 bungs, a 2 bolt flange, and vband clamp on the downpipe and a bov flange on the intercooler piping. $1100 dollars is what they priced me at. Will get it back in a couple of weeks. Until then i'm going to clean up the garage and start getting things layed out ready to put everything back on the car.

I now have most of the wiring finished. That I can think of I just have to wire up the fan controller and hook up the battery terminals. I did relocate the battery to the trunk. Installed the walbro 400lph fuel pump. install both greddy gauges, installed my power fc with datalogic. hooked up the lower and upper engine harness, hooked up the boost controller, installed the tachometer from ls automotive, bolted everything to the engine. All i should have left besides the fans is plumbing, fill with fluids, prime the turbo, fuel system, and oil cooler. and get a 300zx maf sensor. I am hoping by the end of the month I will be able to at least start the car.

Here are some long due pics of whats been going on.
