I have a '91 s13 my problem is that when it's cold outside the car wont start unless i pull the fuel pump fuse under the hood then i have to get back in the car with the fuse still pulled and crank it over with the throttle wide open and after about 15 seconds the car will eventually fire up then die back out. i must then go back after the car is completely shut down put the fuse back in get back in the car turn the ignition on to let the fuel pump prime and then try to start it once again. Some times it will start other times it will start to run on its own power but then dies out and i have to restart the whole process.
i have checked fuel pressure i'm at a steady 43 psi at idle
i have spark on all 4 cylinders and the coil ,wires ,and plugs are all new
any help wold be great thanks.

have had same issue. ae plugs wet? you could have a timing problem, or you could have a leaking injector.

bad o-ring on an injector could cause fuel to leak into the cylinders and you have to burn it off to get it to start..

i have been having the same issue, and i went to nissan dealer and got the 4 small (bottom) o-rings and replaced them. not sure if that is your problem, but pull your injector wires off 1 at a time and see which one doesnt seem to make a difference and chances are it is the culprit. pull the injector and see if that o-ring is torn or cut. if so, it is a cheap fix..

Pull the spark plugs and check the condition and diagnose them. They will tell you a lot. Clean your grounds if they aren't already and check to see if the starter is getting voltage.
i think the ground thing keeps coming up in posts that i read. is there a reference somewhere that gives the locations of these, or at least the real important ones? this would help me as well as the OP.

The main ones are the intake manifold, alternator, body ground. There are also other grounds from the engine harness that go to the motor or body. I don't know them all, but from the top of my head:

1: head near injector 1
2: by the rear of head on exhaust side to firewall
3: a ground to the body by coolant reservoir
4: starter has its own ground I think (I'd also check starter connections here if starter is old. Solenoids could also be worn down.)

There might be more but I'm not sure. I'd have to look at the fsm.

that is a good enough list to get started with some inspecting, tightening, cleaning...
