To be honest i've actually never watched the drift bible before, my post was made from personal experience and a bit studying from the sport. But even videos and books shouldn't be regarded as useless materials though, if you goto a driving school wether it be japan or u.s. they have classrooms they will show you videotapes,sketches, at times teach with gran turismo3 and sometimes they will videotape your runs and play it back so that you can learn from your mistakes. There can be many forms of learning and gaining an edge when it comes to motorsports, sitting down and taking the time to learn it from another perspective can be helpful since you won't see everything from the drivers seat.onemorejspec said:

as far as drift being a sport..yes at competition level ie., D1GP or ex oz and whatnot it is a sport...but mostly what we have out in the usa is just going out and having fun with your car and driving around being as wacky as possible with your friends.
i've noticed that everyone is so damn serious. i remember when i started drifting with my s30z i couldnt stop smiling...i think drifting in the us is way to overcompetative.
the best way you can enjoy this "sport" is with your friends when its 100* out in an abandoned parking lot or drift event and just have fun and help eachother out..thats how i learned.
there are to many magazine drifters and not enough clutch kickers!
