I picked up my 95 s14 and it had never been detailed by the previous owner it was oxidized and peeling and cracking in some areas. For something this extreme I hand sanded all the bad oxidized areas with 2000 grit then used rubbing compound on the entire car and after that applied a generic turtle wax polish that really brought the paint back to life. Depending on the severity of your car it all depends. if you're just looking for a wax and polish i prefer turtle wax products but if your car is black or white i tend to lean towards mothers products. I just use a standard power buffer for application and by hand in tough areas

My 240 is all red. I don't own a buffer. Maybe I should. My paint is in good shape. My 240 is in overall excellent shape actually. Just looking for more ways to make it 'pop' when I clean it up.

I use a bunch of different products and brands from Chemical Guys to P21S to Collinite. Honestly just use the Maguires stuff from Wal Mart and learn how to use the products properly before throwing money down on expensive products and wasting them.

I see Maguires recommended quite a bit. What makes it better compared to say, Armor All? Turtle Wax? The other brands found in Walmart.

I've always used Armor All but with all the recommendations of Maguires, I may just have to switch.

You just gatta research man.
On ANY detailing site you'll never see Harmer All mentioned besides not to use it lol.

Just read, watch videos, buy the products, get a nice Porter Cable buffer and just learn.
I will say though. It takes LOTS of Time and Patience.

As for the interior, I recommend Blue coral cleaner. I bought a set of used integra typeR seats for my civic. They smell so fresh and look fresh too. I asked the seller what he used (they had been cleaned prior to shipping); this it it. I now use it and feel it works really well and now use it myself.

Harbor Freight has a inexpensive orbital buffer. I've heard good things about it through reviews online. The good thing about orbitals is they're pretty much newbie proof because of the way the way the pad moves, thus the "orbital" motion. Check it out. You basically switch the pads out to whatever your application requires. You can get aggressive as to remove scratches or as least aggressive as applying wax.
