So I have a coolant leak under my intake manifold. Problem is I have no idea how to get the intake off. Would anyone be kind enough to explain to me how to take it off? I know there are bolts connecting it to the head (obviously) I know the plenum needs to be taken off ( not too sure how to do that gotta take a look at it), throttle cable needs to be disconnected and there's a bracket underneath the manifold that holds it to the block. Oh and removing the fuel rail I believe is necessary. Is there anything I'm missing? I've searched for a while and never find anything about the removal except people having problems getting it off.

Oh yeah hoses. What about the EGR? Just disconnect the lines off of it? Also, there's a bolt hidden behind the power steering pump correct?

Alright removing the manifold opened a whole can of worms. ALL of the vacuum hoses and a few coolant lines are split.

^ For sure, and the fsm will save you when it comes to putting all the vacuum lines back on.

I couldn't find anything about the intake manifold in the fsm which is why I went to chiltons. But yeah it'll help when it comes to replacing the vacuum lines

While on the subject of diagrams, is there one for coolant line diagram since everything seems fucked up. I did a search of the fsm and didn't find one.

I must say I've done quite a bit of work on cars ranging from oil changes to changing timing chains and cam shafts and modifying PCV systems. I've even removed intake manifolds before but this is, by far, the most aggravating thing I've had to do so far.

If I had a fsm available right now I would see if I could find the section, I know it's in there because I've used it on all of the 240s I have had.

I've found the vacuum hose diagram. I'm really hoping there's a coolant line diagram somewhere.
