elaborate what you mean? lol. Never looked at the fuel pump, but something tells me that might be the issue.

How do I test if it's bad?

There is a filter on the fuel pump that looks like a sock. Over the years it gets dirty and clogged and can cause your issues your having

You might alsohave a rusty tank. My friend was having serious issues with his. Does the pump seem louder than usual?
when it primes when I turn the key? not that I've noticed. I hope the hell not it's a rusty tank that will suck balls

Edit: took the FP out just today. The sock wasn't perfect but it wasn't too too dirty. it primes when I turn the key to "on" and it isn't too loud.
I also advanced timing just a tad by rotating the dizzy clockwise. still runs the same. I took a video though it isn't that good.

Not a 240. Basically I'm addicted to working on/modding/drifting this car which isn't good for an 18 year old on min wage going to college and the only way I can stop myself is to get rid of it.

Wow really, I feel like the same thing happened to me. Except I was already in college and my grades started going bad because I spent too much time doing car related shit. Then I crashed and it must've fixed a bad connection in my brain because I finally started taking the more mature approach with it all.

I hope you don't crash but I hope something happens in your life so that you can finally control your urges with the car. I know you will hate driving some fwd auto good mpg econobox so i sincerely hope you can calm your tits.

Since you're going to college, my advice right now is to start studying everyday. Not for the fact of remembering the "oh so important" high school material, but for just creating a study schedule and just getting into the habit of studying every day. This sounds like more of an issue of balancing all the bullshit in your life than anything 240 related. IMO there are some good articles on learning self control and balance.

What college you going to?

Also, I feel like i should write this quote.

"People often say, Motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing, that's why we recommend it daily."

So far I'm accepted to York, Drexel, and Temple with some nice scholarships. I'm waiting on Pitt. Pretty set on York though. I am pretty good at time balancing and I won't have my car there anyway. I'm basically saying this season is the last time I see my car until next summer so yolo gonna drift. Still trying to get to the bottom of this issue.

Also when I had the pump out I had a good look into the tank and it didn't look rusty at all.

I've noticed like 95% of the time it's when it's hot. And I'm pretty sure it gets worse as it's driven because there's times when I've been driving for maybe 30 minutes at a time and it gets really bad.

Still need to do timing with a timing light, then it's time for extreme vac leak checking, then I'll check the TPS.

But it seems to only be when warm, wouldn't a vac issue make it run poorly all the time?

people I have been talking to in other places are pointing me towards fuel pump. I bought a new sock so if that doesn't do anything, I'll check timing and TPS.

Sock didn't fit. I did my timing though but haven't driven the car since because my fuel system is apart. Have a new sock in the mail. Going to see if that fixes anything. If not I'm leaning towards fuel pump. Pretty sure I have no vac leaks, and grounds are good.

Otherwise, I may be making a big (for me) purchase this sunday, stay tuned!

I didn't get as much as I originally planned due to circumstances but I still got a deal on some parts. Originally was going to get coils. Ended up with a window washer tank/pump and pignose lip.

May have fixed my bogging issue, knock on wood.

it was either doing timing or a new coil. still isn't running perfect but seems to be much better.

Bogging came back. Finally hooked it up to the nissan consult. I was pretty sure the TPS was the problem, but I hooked it up anyway. Codes were thrown for TPS and CAS or whatever is inside the distributor. Doing this test I learned how much of a rats nest my main harness is, butt connector city. So I'm putting in a new harness and the new TPS to see if that is the problem. Could also be the coil wire because that was butt connected.

Otherwise, I just got my Energy Subframe bushings, and I'm about to make a huge improvement on my car's handling!

Fuck this website

still posting

fixed bogging. new harness and TPS.

Also welded my diff and got new rear suspension

cool wow

No, fuck you. What kind of suspension goodies?
my rear struts were gonners with a sketchy spring setup (one was mounted upside down)

I got gear climb struts made by KYB and RSR springs for $40. Both are imported from Japan. I am saving for coilovers but $40 for a huge difference was worth it.
