I Am A Nissan Lover Who Is Look For A 1997-98 240

A Own A 300zx As Of Now -- It Has Been A Great Project But It Is A N/A And Is It Is Almost Complete.

But It Is Time For A 240 That I Plan To Take As Far As I Can

I Would Like To Know If All 14.5s Have The Same Motors And What Is That Motor Capable Of.

I Am Shopping Everyday And Am Ready To Purchase

And My Plans Are To Sell My 300zx To Purchase Parts

I Would Apreciate It If You Guys Could Steer Me In The Right Direction

Thanks

All 1991-1998 Nissan 240sx's got the same (more or less) KA24DE. They were all pretty much the same, in the s14 however the cams are slightly different than in the s13, but the HP and TQ numbers are the exact same

its kinda like a redyop or blacktop sr20, there both vertualy the same except one is newer. a 97 - 98 or "kouki" has just as much potential for upgrade as any other year ka24de but your starting with a newer engine with less wear, so yes a 97-98 kouki ka24de engine has endless potential and is a great platform for further mods

yes.

s14a is just some person's poor attempt to gain popularity in the internet forum world.
same with s14b.

this is why i stick to normal, more accepted terms such as : s14 early model, s14 late model

so is kouki and zenki also made up terms or wut?

nah kouki means something like "late" or "last" and zenki is early
those arent made up
its the A adn B that are
most think: a = after mc (mc=minor change)
b = before mc

but some say

in the alphabet, a is before b sooo a = zenki

so that's why dont use "A" and "B" when referring to s14s
either years or "zenki" "kouki" is most accurate and doesnt lead to confusion

A minor stylistic update was released in 1997 dubbed the S14a, giving the car a somewhat meaner appearance with slanted headlamps and revised badging. The headlight appearance could be considered to be transitional to the S15 model, which looked somewhat similar. Changes aside, the car was not very popular in many markets, except Japan, and in 1998 was withdrawn from sale in the US. The car continued to be sold throughout 1999 and 2000 in European markets.
