gauging interest on pdm lip

yes this still could happen, there is only one problem i've only gotten 3 emails from people who seem like they really want this

the thing is, it's a friend of mine who runs a shop that would be making these, and as far as he's concerned it's not worth his time to make 2 or 3, on the other hand if 10 or so people are serious, he would do this and it would be around 135usd or 160cdn

once again though its not worth my time, or my friends who will be making these time if only 3 people are really interested

oh and as far as fitment goes, it will be an exact copy of the lip, my friend is a professional who runs a serious shop, and all the lips will be very high quality and very strong

ok i'm not sure who did and didn't get my messages so i'll post it here


Hey, ok i"ve decided that I will probably be buyin this lip. Afterwards I will be able to get copies of it for the same price. I talked to my friend today and he said that the price will be 135 more or less USD. The shop is located in Toronto. I'll have to check how much shipping will be to other areas. As I said before I will only be getting copies of the lip if enough people are interested. I'm emailing you guys as well as pm'ing everyone else on the forums who seemed to be interested. I will probably be ordering this lip sometime next week. However I don't think that I will be getting the side skirts. i'll try and keep everyone updated.

ok now to answer some questions

material: the material is a high grade blue fiberglass which uses flex agents to allow the products to bend and twist similar to urethane.

the pics are not the pdm lip, i posted them to show the quality and strenght of thew product, essentially what you will get is the same quality and material as the pics, but only the pdm lip instead of that one


- Shipping: shipping is tricky i am told. Shipping companies dont treat the packages with great amounts of care, so if shipping is needed i highly encourage peoepl to purchase the insurance.

- Deposit: Once enough peoepl ahve shown intrtest we will go ahead with the group buy , but I have been advised by my brother to take deposits on the parts. As there are people on the forums that will say they want it but not pay when the time comes. this way we can avoid any hassels. I can provide everybody with my home phone number my cell my full information if needed. my brother has agreed to let me use his paypal accoutn if needed. He is a verified member on paypal. NOTE: paypal payments require 3% fees. Better safe than sorry.

Fitment : since the molud is made off the morginal he fitmnet will be VERY VERY close to the orignial. It will not be a bad fitment

this will fit right on to your car, all that will be required is a little prep work, ie. slight sanding, but this has to be done with all products before they go on a car, even the actual pdm lip will need to be sanded before i can put it on my car

This is the official group buy on the PDM front lip:

Price: ~135 us +/- ( i will inform everybody of a price chnage if it occurs)

I will need at least 5 people on this group buy. Each person will be required to place a deposit of 50%. I will accpet cash , money order or paypal( 3% charge applies)

The time fame we are looking at is as follows: 1 week - 2 weeks to make the mould. Roughly 1 day for each lip to be made, cured, sanded and so on.

I want to say im in. But i think, and maybe i talk for everyone here, i would like a definite price, not this 135 +/- . And how long until you can get us some shipping quotes?

Because right now it seems like your only beating Booststore.com's price by about 5 dollars, which is a more reputable company.

ok the lip should be arrinving here in about 1 week

plus 1 week to make a mold then i will be ready to start shipping them out to whomever wants one

also, just would like to clear things up, the price will be 135 usd plus shipping

also, these lips will not be made by a person working out of their garage, they will be made by a company located in the Toronto area called Genesis Racing, so the product will be of good quality, if you guys have any frineds that live in this area you can have them check out the company to be sure

the lips will be a near perfect match, that means that all the will be necessary to get these ready for your car will be some light sanding, priming and painting, but this is necessary for any body kit/ lip that is to be put on a car,

as for shipping to different areas, i won't be absolutely sure until i recieve the lip from PDM, then i will be able to give prices on shipping

sure i'll try and find the cheapest shipping i can, i dont know but i think pdm is really sticking it to me with the shipping 140 cdn !!!! but i have a friend at purolator so i'll see what i can do

hopefully the lip will be here before the end of the week, when it gets here i'll let you all know

I would be willing to pick it up within a few hours of ohio, if you could arrange the shipping of a palette of them to the states. Hell, I got a dock, and would be glad to receive the palette in Cleveland, OH.

^^^ i think that i might be able to do this, but i't would have to be several like 10 or so, because it would be useless for just a few,

from your sig you belong to a local nissan nissan see if there are enough 240 guys in your area that would be willing to do this, then maybe we could work something out

^^^ yes, i can, but i would need one to make a copy of, sorry i'm not sure which lip it is, but it kinda looks like the lip that came on some 1989-1990 240sx's

as for the pdm lip it should be here in a few days (2-3) at that time i will be able to get a price on shipping to whomever wants one
