Does the Phantom Grip LSD really work? Has anybody used it in there 240?

well its a pretty cool design and i have known people to use them but make sure you get the upgraded spring for them or else they wont grip as hard, the spring is firmer so it grips harder

Does it act like the R200v? or is it like just locking your rear end?

What makes it better?

I guess it depends on what you like. The VLSD is definitely more seamless. You FEEL the phantom grip engage, and it's a more positive engagement. It engages sooner and harder. Won't improve handling to a great degree but it's great for your 60'.

so the phantom grip is more for drag racing more than track events?

When you said it won't improve handling did you mean over the VLSD or the stock open diff?

Also does anyone know if the phantom grip will work in the open diff (R200?) or do you need the VLSD (R200V)? I emailed them 2 months ago and they never got back to me. That reason alone makes me worried about buying from them.

Should work with the R200 diff period....there are several rally teams that use them that I've heard of that rave about them.....I plan on getting one...one of these days.
