And yet another ride height question....I'm looking at 2 sets of eibach spring sets....the 2.0/2.1 drop and the 1.5ish drop. Is there a point where it gets too low? I use to mess around with the whole lowering thing when I had an s-10 and ended up taking the suspension out for the hell of it, but I want something low and stable with a decent ride and not something too low where I have to worry about getting stuck on speed bumps or ripping body pieces off from dips and other road obstacles....Any one have any experience? Is the 2inch drop going to be too much?

its all about personal preference... 2 inches is definitely manageable. i have sportlines and i wish i was quite a bit lower... under 2 inches youre gonna start scraping more often.. speed bumps will be annoying.. but if its worth it to you to have that slammed look (and it sounds like it isnt) then go for it.

if you lower it to much it will mess up the hanedling and make the car either to stiff or 2 bouncy dont do it...i would just stick with 1.5 thats prob what im going to do... 2.0 isnt THAT bad but once you go past that i would turn back.

So is the 2 inch drop going to mess the car up that much more than a 1.5?
A drop of more than 1.5 to 1.75 inches on the stock s13 rear suspension will cause an undesirably negative camber condition. Basically, you don't want to drop the rear more than 1.5 inches for a couple reasons.

The only dead on obvious reason that people won't argue with is that the excessive negative (top in, bottom out) might look cool, but will result in undesirable tire wear. If you don't care about this, and replace your tires once a year anyway, than disregard this.

This camber condition however, can be remidied by purchasing camber correction bolts and bushings from http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/suspensionbush.html .
This will allow you to go as low as you want really, and still be able to correct up to 1.5 degrees of camber.

Hope it cleared things up.

no its still not preference. you can fix all the problems associated w/ super low car. i have...its called tuning. adjustalbe arms, different lower control arms, adjustable tie rod endlinks..etc etc.

lower center of gravity is key.

I agree that you can remedy the problems with handling and camber, but what about the fact that youre gonna scrape all the time and the difficulty of getting over speed bumps and stuff? even if you could solve all the problems, they are still problems and its still a pain... Some people still PREFER to have a higher ride. therefore i have to say that its preference. The thread starter appeared to be mostly interested in things like scraping and speed bumps, so i think that it sounds like it wouldnt be worth it to him.
