I hate that when car makers try to do a throw back to an older style to pay homage and shit. Because they never revive the classic feel. They always just take a funny-looking-space-ship-wannabe-concept-car and add maybe one thing that is slightly reminant of the old car. It always comes out looking stupid. I mean if you're going to go back to a classic style, do it right! It looks like the deformed lovechild of an old Shelby GT and a new SVT Cobra. BLEH!

I like it. My girlfriend's brother drives an 02 GT w/ a few mods. It's fast for a heavy chunk of metal, but handles like shit. I've always been a fan of the old body style ('65 - whenever they looked cool until the ugly style w/ the Pinto engine).
GT500 model is my favorite of all time.
As for the new model overall:
Looks good and I'm glad they got rid of the useless hood scoop, BUT the front bumper is fugly and the GT500 is going to make the Mustang look too smooth and flat.

Hrm ford should have given us the concept that they hyped up the mustang with. But that was the purpose of that beautiful concept car, to create hype amongst the media knowing that it was in no way gonna pass.
I'd take the slightly disguised (gto) holden munaro anyday.
The new viper, it's got a tamed look now
Looks like the german's at daimler didn't like shelby's work :12dunno The gts was simply evil looking and it looked just how it performed. The new one does look good in GT/LeMan's racing form though :heyhey

You know the inevitable is gonna happen with that car. It looks like a car that will be a favorite of "dubs" fans. Watch, you'll see so many of those mustangs with like 20" or bigger rolling down the street cuz it just looks like a car people would do stupid things with.
