well after a good 2.5 hrs of going from 100 to 150 to 220 to 400 to 600 to wetsand 600... i was convinced that i had got out all the imperfections and was ready to polish:first pics... well after getting pissed off because the tripoli compound was being a bitch and was not wokring like it did the first time i showed you guys the small polished section...so after some tinkering time i used a different polish and polished up the plenum. Only to be very dissapointed with fine scraches in random places to piss me off. you most likely could not see them at all if it were in an engine and you are at normal distance looking in but if you get up clsoe you can see stuff. you cannot see aything in the pics but they're there and they piss the hell outta me. anyways here are the pics...

awesome results what are you looking to sell it for?

taking into account materials, time and the cost of the part i bet you could get a bit of money for it

haha if i were to take minimum wage ( is it $5.50/hr?) and multiply it by all the hours i have spent on it so far and the 15+ hrs it will take to competly finish it the price would be un reasonable, im most likley going to take a loss on this intake just becase it is the first time and i had to spent a bunch of money on tools and crap. Im thinking $200-$250 range. although i will loose money at least i have some tools for the next item.

one of the reasons this is taking so long is becasue i dont have to proper tools, that and there are valleys that are nearly impossibly to get into, even with my fingers and sand paper, every smoothed plenum has been 10% dremle for casting off, 90% hand sanding. that polished plenum up there isnt going to stay that way... im going back to 220grit becuase of some stupid stuff on it that i can still see. then im oging to repete the prosess only im going to spend more money and get 320grit paper and find stup 1000grit paper and some 1600gtit paper. hopfully it wont leave any of the damn marks that are making me mad. also im going ot wait untill it is warmer outside so i can use the tripoli and whit rouge. anybody waiting for this manifold is going to be waiting at least another month. (im out of money right now as it is :) )
