Thank you esco. I've heard all kinds of shit about that car, but never seen it (I watch TV maybe once a week).
S14.5, I guess there's only a few of us that actually truly like exotics beyond their looks. I still want to see the ME 412 on a track. Barber Motorsports (which would be a 30 minute drive for me) would be an ideal place to test it for performance.

the popo would have quite a time trying to pull you over in that...
but considering how few people would actually own one, it wouldn't exactly be hard to figure out who was driving the one that got away

It was said eariler. I car guy is a car guy.
We don't need this import vs. domestic, ford vs. chevy, honda vs everyone else, etc. crap anymore. It'll help the sport if we all come together.

I have a friend how bugged me a bit when I owned a Civic cause he drove a blown 5.0L Stang. However we both gave respect to each other cause our cars had different high points. He's was power, mine was handling.

I don't care what car you drive, if your a car guy your cool in my book.

hehe, you know they make cars that do both now a days, lol j/k...
Yea I know they make cars that are fast and handle well, but I can't afford them! Plus it's a whole lot easier to start with what you are given(ie handling or power) and go with it.

Well after I bought my camaro I pretty much decided right away that the suspension and chassis would take too much work to get it where I wanted as far as handling goes. So I just started working under the hood :humper With a flexy chassis and live axle rear end that car was not made to handle, I don't care what anyone says. Kinda the same way Nissan isn't giving me much in the way of power when it comes to an NA four cylinder...... But the power is acceptable and it handles great so I enjoy it for what it is.

This is true, a car guy is a car guy, I get hated on for being rideless at the moment, and i know shitloads more about cars then my friend, who basically charged 7000 dollars worth of work on his gs-t to try and run 12's all day reliably, yet ppl give him props, when i know more about his car and did more to build his car then he did......rediculous.

His car isnt ricey and its pretty fast, but that doesnt mean he is a car guy. The only reason he went for speed instead of a big ass kit and stereo is cause he goes with the trends, and all his friends are about functionality and dislike ricers, so he went that route. If he had different buddies, he coulda gone the ricer route and been just as happy, cause all his car is to him is a big trophy. Its a like a big dick he can show everybody with out dropping his pants, lol.

He IS a ricer, I dont care what he drives......and the reason is, it didnt matter if his car went 12 or 18's, if everyone else loved it he would be happy. He could give a shit about the car, its an image to him...sure he enjoys having his nuts blasted to his ass crack whenever he touches the gas, but thats anyone. He doesnt enjoy learning about or working on cars.......these guys arent car guys, watch out for them

Eclipse's are cheap to fix up anyway. But, I do agree with you wholeheartedly man.

Great metaphor by the way. :thumbsup There are plenty of people I know that are like that.

K&N intake, smooth intake bellow, electric waterpump, ported heads(done by me) w/ Manley Raceflo valves, 1.6 ratio roller rockers, LT4 HOTcam(.525"/.525" lift, 218/228 duration all at .050"), SLP 1 3/4" stainless headers, Random Tech high flow cat, Flowmaster catback, Midwest 2800 RPM lockup stall, B&M shiftkit and transcooler, aluminum driveshaft and a "mail order" computer tune. By mail order tune I mean that you send your specs to a guy that can reflash the memory on these computers and he does his best guess as to what the tune should be, then sends it to you. The car was still on the stock MAF, throttle body and gears. First time at the 1/8 after the mail order tune it ran a 8.1 @86.65. That was my best ET but I did get it to trap 87 once. With a good dyno tune it would have been a high 7 second car. I wish I could have made it to the 1/4 but cooling system problems resulted in a blown headgasket! I plan to pull the whole motor out to fix it this time. I'm going to finish porting the heads(I have some more tricks up my sleeve) and put a bigger cam in.

Wow, those are nice mods. You obviously have 2.5" or 3" two chamber Flow's right? :heyhey

And when you get it fixed and take it to the track, you're going to tell me the 1/4 time. :thumbsup

Yes it is, one of my favorite colors! I think it was only offered on the 94-95's so usually when you see that color it's all busted up.

That is true, there is an SS of the similar color and the paint is so badly damaged from the sun, acid rain, etc. Then the guy thinks he is still hot hit driving that stocker :gaylaugh .

If it's the same color as mine then the SS wasn't offered in that year. Meaning he slapped a bunch of SS parts and badges on it :nono

BTW your signature pic always cracks me up :dancingco

Oh? That is pretty damn gay. Or, he must have decided to paint it that color.

Dude, my signature pic is the fucking best. :thumbsup

icntspl's old one, where the fat kid was dancing/convulsing was pretty funny. First time I saw it I fell out of my chair laughing. Where the hell is the new Camaro and Chevelle concept? I thought I saw pics in MotorTrend a few months back, but I googled and didn't see anything I recognized.
