Serious problem

I bought an soposedly low milage ka24 from some guy............1 month later i put it in. I dont have every thing hooked up, but its should still crank up as it is right. The starter is doing a single click, then nothing. The engine never turns over, Shoudl i go beat the shit out of homboy for selling me a lock up engine, or is thier another problem.

Does it turn over by hand? I'd think that'd be the FIRST Thing you would check.

yes, before resorting to violence, put a wrench on the crank bolt, and see if it spins. if so, then i'll bet your starter is messed up.. the click is most likely the gear snapping out into position, but not turning.

tap the starter with a hammer as you are trying to start it, it is just a bit stuck from sitting, the starter that is, I bet the motor is fine.

If its not the starter it sounds to me like you have a bad ground somewhere.

it could be 100 different things...violence is never the answer. If the motor turns by hand, then just beat the hell out of the starter a few times and it should turn. or maybe it's just a bad starter.

Finish with the harness and make sure everything is grounded, then try to fire it up. It SHOULD work. If you thought the swap was hard.....the trouble shooting is the best part

DAmn i thought this tread was dead, but to update, then engine was siezed, i couldnt even turn it with a breaker bar.

Man if you only knew how pissed i am. Thier triing to BS me saying i ran the car without oil. And that thier was no oil in the oil pan. I have fucken 4 quarts of royal purple in thier. Brand fucken new. (what a waste) He must have drained taht shit out, i hate with fucken people play games. I really woudl love beatin some ass, but im ganna be patient, and maby ill get my 4 bills back when i take um to court.

please tell me you signed a contract of some sort. If not, it might be hard to get your money back. But since it is a shop, try going to the Better Business Bureau hopefully they should be able to help your out. Good luck man!!
