Black top vs Red Top and other questions...

and yes i did the search first!

whats the difference between the red top and black top ? and what should i look to pay for a swap? i can find plenty of s13s in LA where i live for like 2gz all day long. And if anyone is in LA and knows of a place to do the swap be great if they could give me any info. Also how much does a lsd usually cost?

what about the mounts? does it fit in the same mounts? and are they strong enough to hold ?

everything bolts right in just fine. No modifications unless you have a 89-90 then u need just a small streering mod. Quick. Um... Besides that a new harness for it. You can use ur existing and splice wires. Easy. Just like dropping a honda motor. easy as that

now to find a shop...and whats the steering mod? and is this type of swap something i could do at home?

um... what year do you have. If you have a 91-94 then you don't need the "power steering" modification. Don't quote me on what has to be adjusted. But its very minor.

i am kinda new with this putting in new engines....i know you guys are gonna be all like what and idiot cause this is probably something really stupid and i am sorry if it is but.. what is this harness thing you are talking about and why do you need a new one for the sr20

get www.epikmotorsports.com or someone else to do it for you. I have done 4 honda/mitsu/mazda and the sr20 im working on right now has been the most interesting.
