Eventually down the road. Im thinking the stock fuel pump right now would be alright to boost what Ill boost for daily driving. I always thought that you really didnt need to change your factory fuel pump unless your at high boost levels. Oh well, someone school me.... Walbro 255?

Fuel pump is a must. Big arse fmic is somthing you don't need unless your adding a turbo upgrade to the list. But for sure do the pump, its only $112 and really really easy to install. It's well worth your engine not running lean.

Hey SHIFT im putting in my motor Monday, but i have no fucking idea where to start with the hoses and shit. I have read the article from heavy throttle and well i need something more specific. The only thing i need is a fuelpump also

This is the stuff im putting on with my swap

no, stock sr radiator is fine but not the stock ka. You don't need that fmic yet, its too big and its going to cause some serious lag for the stock turbo. If you search you will find what i just said on a shiet load of threads, post etc. Get rid of that fmic for now, and get your walbro 255, koyo radiator with dual electric fans, and possibly some other stuff.

Yea, I kind of figured that now. My question is, even if I bump the boost up to about 10 or 11 psi, will it still cause a ton of lag? Im not trying to sound like a Noob here because I know a lot about the cars and the engine. BTW, just ordered my Walbro 255. All the swapped 240s Ive seen here in the area are using a front mount with the stock turbo and they dont seem to be complaining too much. I dunno, I paid some good money for it I dont know if I can just "get rid" of it lol :)

Yep some people have a fmic on there stock turbo but most just have a side mount that came with the engine or a small fmic. You can definetly run a big fmic but its really a waste of money on the stock turbo. but if you plan on upgrading the turbo somtime in the future it might not be such a bad idea to keep. Just make sure you get a radiator and some electric fans. Then you'll be set.

i just ordered my sr yesterday. And i also plan on running the Blitz LM front mount for a while till i can afford the turbo upgrade. The motor doesnt come with an intercooler so i might as well get the Blitz instead of gettin the stock intercooler and wastin more money...i can live with some turbo lag for the time being...just as long as it pulls when its spooled... :thumbsup :eek3dance

Yea man thats cool. I really dont care right now, as long as it pulls hard on the highway. Good luck with your swap :) The Blitz FMIC is def. quality!

Added to the list are....

13. Walbro 255 lph Fuel Pump
14. Koyo Aluminum Radiator
15. Blitz Intake
16. Genesis Dry Cell Battery

yea, adding those items are definitely a good idea. don't waste money on stuff you don't need right now. like those seats! hehe... If you didn't get the suspension stuff yet, I would wait. Have you car running good before worrying about your suspension. I recommend researching some more. There's a lot of good info out there. Expect to spend some more money on fluids and other stuff. I think I spent like 500$ on just random stuff I needed. heater hose, clamps, wiring stuff, etc. If you have the KA still, you can use some stuff off of it. I used some of the wires off of the KA harness and hoses I needed to rig stuff. youll need lots of clamps too. For heating issue, I went with a koyo and a nismo thermo. runs cold as hell. I researched for almost a year and knew what I NEEDED before I bought anything. i could of started my motor on my first try but left 2 plugs disconnected. :p

edit: new spark plugs would be a good idea.

Man, you know what really sucks, I bought my engine off a guy that gets his engines from Osaka JDM engines. I really feel uneasy about it now. I have a feeling somethings going to be fucked up with my engine when I get it in and running (I hope)
