My moms car..a 95 camry
sedan has an oil leak does any one out there
know why is it leaking and how
to fix it?... is a job that i can handle
my self? or a mechanic should handle it?

..need some input...

use an air pump... keep pumping, either oil or bubbles will appear at the spot of the leakage...

there like a compression pump you can use.. i had to use it the other day on a minivan because our mechanic was looking for the leak with both hands..

not much dude. depending where the leak is coming from. It could be that the oil pan is not sealed well and will just need to be resealed. $50 bucks. Or if the worst u will need a new headgasket which will cost around 100 bucks.

like they said, depends on where the leaks coming from... that minivan the mechanic did after i had helped him was like 300 because all the shit he had to take off to get to the leak.. its not the EASIEST thing to fix...

ok, why would you ask the forum for this problem... its not like we can tell what the problem is...... its a forum. I bet someone didn't tighten/ torque down ur oil drain bolt or filter.

Could be a f'd gasket....

STOP LOWBALLIN IT AND GO GET IT FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

since when does an oil leak mean you need a new headgasket? there is oil running all over the motor it could be more than just an oil pan leak....although that's most likely what it is.
