thanks a lot Ricer240sx i really apreciate it, i was wondering does anybody know how much it would cost to drop a sr2d0et into an 240sx? and i was wondering would me n my friend b able to drop the sr20det in ourselfs with very little experience?thanks

price has too many variables to be accurate, but if u do ur reasearch u should be fine doing it urself! maybre sent the wiring out to get done professionaly but otherwise its not too hard.

also if u look in the FAQ there is a post about the projected budget for the SR swap. i have said many times that i could do it for much less and have posted it up before.

as long its not too hard i can probebly do it with me and my friend it'll probebly take a while but eh at least i'll learn a lot in the process,i found a manual on how to do it so i don't think i'll be alright doing it with my friend. what do u mean send out the wiring to be down, i'd have to tow the car over to the mechanics shop to get the wiring done right? and do you think i canget ur e mail ricer240sx so when i get started and have questions i can e mail you and ask u, if its alright with you, i'm plannin on probebly starting this project in september/october cause thats when i get my licience back, so i plan to work my ass off this summer to get the car and engine. how long do you think it'll take us to do the whole swap if we don't know much about it?

for the wiring u can jsut send the harness out it self before u even put it in the car because u need to get a new ecu and harness with the motor.

and my email addy is Driftin240sx@hotmail.com but i have never done the swap so i dont no how big of a help i can be, but i do know someone who has, and i might have one done by that time.......not sure if the funds will come in for my buddy to do it. but i know someone who is doing an RB swap lol so i think ill have a little insite for ya. but the best thing for u to do in the meantime is reasearch!! find as much info as u need!! i would read threw that manual right away and then with any questions u have come here and type it in the search feild and then if u dont find it check out some other boards such as Zilvia.net, Freshalloy.com, Nissaninfiniticlub.net there is a lot of information out there u jsut need to search for it!
