No, they are the same vehicle. And yes, the Pathfinder and Passport were the same vehicle. Until the Pilot came out, Honda rebadged the Pathfinder and called it a day. I'm a little shaky on the Isusu Rodeo, but I belive they are built off the same identical platform, with only minor sheetmetal changes.sr20damn said:

Companies do these things to save money. They know there is a slice of the consumer pie that will buy a 4-door econo-box. So, to cash in on that pie, companies will team up. GM and Toyota are an excellent example. They know that they can develop a car and split the start-up costs and it will only cost each company half in research and development. So, then they put their car on the market. People see "TOYOTA 4-DOOR ECONOMY" and they buy. People see "CHEVROLET 4-DOOR ECONOMY" and they buy.
Probably 80% of those peolpe will never know that they are buying the exact same car with a different stereo.
