Did this really happen?? lol ok I have a ka24e that right, with i/h/e advance timing, yea thats it and o yea a short shifter(like that does any good) I saw this like 01-04 mustang do a ricer flyby next to me for like 5 mins just keep getting next me driving atleast 30mph faster then getting in the slow lane and doing it again 3 times. I finally gt sick of it so I was liek what the hell I might as well jsut let this guy beat me and get it over with, so I revmatch it in thrid at like 70 and push it to the floor and he starts going fast to and we are head to head up till 105 when his taillights are right next to my door, I shut down at a 110 cuz im a puss I like having my license and I have a really loud exhaust. BTW I know it was automatic cuz I could hear it, and also btw we he started the race after I gave him thumbs up and he just went 1... 2... 3 with his fingures and then we went. I dont know why or how I pulled on him that good but I did and I know im gonna get flamed but w/e. You guys dont have to belive it, I have a hard time beliving it to.

00-01 5.0? i think they were all 4.6s iirc......the 94-98 gts sucked really bad, but in 99 and up i think they were quicker..

good kill, probably was a v6 though man....but still, good race, 99-up new body style v6s have 200hp
 
Newest bodystyle mustang GTs have a 4.6 liter 260hp V8. Even an auto would stomp you, you raced a V6. Good run though!
 
I saw that too, and it was like 155 I think, I was shocked as hell. I had to leave before they dyno tested the new mods, Do you remember what it made after?

This is how ignorance begins. You have I/H/E and bumped timing, so you have maybe 165 hp right?(I think I'm being generous) And you raced what you described as a new bodystyle Mustang GT which has 260 hp. I don't care if it was an auto, you have no chance. That Mustang is good for mid-low 14's, can your car do that? Didn't think so.........

The last year of the 5.0 was in 1995. The 94-95 5.0's were weak-sauce, as were the 96-98 4.6 motors. However, with the new bodystyle in 99, they got a bump to 260hp.

Timeline-

94-95 GT(rounded bodystyle) 5.0 motor- 215 hp
96-98 GT(same bodystyle) 4.6 SOHC motor- 215 hp
99-04 GT(edgy bodystyle) 4.6 SOHC motor- 260 hp

U sure about that? You know alot of people put flowmasters er boiling sounding exhausts on anything nowadays, gives them that legendary 5.0 sound lol. You'd have to be a real stang dork to differentiate the sound imo. :p
 
yea im not doubting you beat him man but you can slap a set of flows on a v6 and make it sound like a v8 it had to be a v6

sorry..not good with mustangs...so i guess it was a 94-95 gt....

i think i was 189 after the mods....

negative on that car being a v8 unless he wasn't racing or he was just messin with you ....the v6 is a good kill for your car , at 200hp it's right in your league, with the weight difference, where as the v8 is out of your leauge....

Nope, we don't.
I have a KA24DE with i/e and ran a 9.4 in the 1/8. The other night I was chasing down a 96-98 GT (saw the 4.6 on the side a few lights before.) He was getting onto the interstate on-ramp, which was very curvy(about 7 curves). I quickly caught up to him on the curves, which he gunned it a little more, but seemed to be scared of the corners. Once we got to the exit we both gunned it, and he pulled away me from 65-90. He got off at the same exit ramp, which also had some curves, and I caught back up to him...

But on the interstate, a GT will leave you.

Ive driven the auto's (v8) and it would nothing short of obliterate my eclipse and 240. It runs even with teh s2k on the street and a lil slower on the highway.
 
Mustang vs 240sx seems to be new car rivelry… actually. My ka24de ran 200 mustang gt down the dragons tail. Close race but 240sx killed it by time it was said and over with. 300+ curvs is major enemy. I'm planning on rb25 with customs parts and mods to really eat them up. Seen a lot of 240sx vs mustang videos and usually always seems 240sx has them beat. Rb25 vs 447 and 25 killed it. Good kill tho man.. v6 that's what a 10-15 k car? Guy I raced has 20k in his all together I have 1500 in mine. Lol
