so i was reading the july edition of car and driver and they have 2 articles on drifting, one on the new GTO and one on a drifting school.
right formt he article ont he GTO,
Although Pontiac likely hoped for a warm welcome from the youngish spectators, that didn't happen. Instead, "We got booed," says Rhys Millen. But what should pontiac have expected? Drifting is the countries newest motorsport and most of the fans are the same enthusiasts who think it's cool to spend 50 grand hopping up a Honda Civic :fawku that, even when modified can't outrun a Corvette.
like that is really winning them points?? i dont have a problem with the GTO but they come in saying all "drift enthusiasts" drive hondas????, not to down play hondas either, with 50k a honda could be crazy fast, but come on if they are running in D1 GP events they should know the sport mainly consists of nissans, mazdas and toyotas and they are all RWD, not FWD civics
the rest of the article just brags about the 350 hp v8 and they make it seem like all you need to drift is power, they only mention 2 suspension upgrades, a 1.5inch drop and anti roll bars
i dunt know if anyone else really cares, just thought i post it up
