are 12 second 1/4 passes possible on a relativly stock rb25? say it has a full 3" exhaust, VLSD, upped boost, decent tires, walbro 255, and other BPU, how hard would it be to get a 12 second run in, even if its high? im just wondering what to expect. i know it depends on the driver and all, but work with me here.

Theoretically all it would call for is about 245whp and a good driver.

I'd say:
3" turbo back exhaust (cat-less)
FMIC
Upped Boost
LSD (4.36 Final Drive)
Sticky Tires
Weight Reduction would get you there.

ok in what chassis S13.or S14?
what elevation?
I would say maybe a high 12.like 12.9,or so, on high boost( 1 BAR?),drag radials,LSD,and some race fuel!

LSD (4.36 Final Drive) what nissan rear end has that final drive??
All 240's are 4.08

The r33 gts-25t has a final drive of 4.36 and its a direct bolt-in with axles to the s13 chassis when you change diff covers.

Just put octane booster in for safe measure before you boost 14 pounds.

I think it is possable. Look at Assy boards. There is a guy down there who ran a 13.1 with 13 psi of boost, AFC, Exhaust cam gear, and clutch.
He also rapped his charge piping to keep them cool. His post is guid to 12.9 second stockish R33. He was running the stock IC.

Now Minus 3-400lbs And You Got 12's.

toluene? if thats what you are talking about.... its pretty potent stuff. Its like a 1 to 10 mixture for 100+ octane. Its so potent and flamable that you ahve to go through this whole process to get it since 9/11, little known factoid: toluene is what used to be the most common ignitor for pipe bombs.

if a rb20det can run a 13.5 with a ka24 exhaust, stock side mount, pod filter, and lsd with stock tires.... then I would hope a rb25 could do better.

I was saying just in case...... but it should be pretty easy to do high 12's if your a decent driver. According to those ultra conservative et calculators it says you need 245hp for a 12.9 quarter.

if u plan on running race gas, u will need to get a special wideband O2 senors that allows for leaded race gas. As far as octane booster, you need to get good stuff, not cheap walmart crap, that walmart stuff boosts your octain like 1 point so u run 97 octane now u have 98, big whoop

only so-called Octane booster that has or ever will go near any of my cars, is the Black bottle by NOS!
Lmao you do NOT need a wide band 02 to run race gas,who the hell told u that,or did u read it in Turbo magazine
In my DSM days I keep LEADED 112 octane fuel in a 2 gallon tank in my car, just in case some punk ass ricer or Dumbestic punk wanted to get tough,I never ever had to replace the 02 sensor or cat(didnt have one anyway) once!!!! Nor did I foul out the plugs! And I ran "LEADED" race fuel constantly....

say worst case, your car weighs 2900lbs w/ RB25 swap!

Car weight: 2900 lbs.
Horsepower: 300 hp
Configuration: Rear Wheel Drive

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Results
Quarter Mile Acceleration: 13.455 seconds.
Terminal speed: 109.8638 mph.
But remember that is at 1320ft elevation, and doesnt let you calculate gear ratio
http://www.web-cars.com/math/qtr_mile.html in case you want to try some other numbers!
Another example: My car S14,RB26DETT,modded!
according to this calc,
Car weight: 3000 lbs.
Horsepower: 400 hp
Configuration: Rear Wheel Drive

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Results
Quarter Mile Acceleration: 12.364 seconds.
Terminal speed: 119.5584 mph.
Good enough for me especially since I can get 400+RWHP on stock turbos!
