I got a 96 240 and am in need of new tires. I'm doing road courses in the summer and besides that I just need a tire for everyday driving...any input?
Was thinking about the Falken Azenis Sports based on the other thread

ecsta MX's are a much better tire than the supras

edit: unless you are going to daily drive on the same tires, then i dont know. buy an extra set of stock rims and use them for your MX's but dont daily drive them

I would get the Kumho's MXs (In fact I just bought a set for the 04 Season) over the Azenis Sports. Becuase:
1. Sizing of the Azenis are very limited.
2. The Azenis tend to get get gummy fast due to heat. Which is why most 2 driver Solo2 cars don't use them. You can get about 2-3 laps in at our local track on the Azenis before they start to go away.

Yup. They're a great autox tire because of cold grip. They can even overheat after a 1 minute run. It's common to see guys spraying down their azenis with water after an autox run. I spit large gulps of water and rub em down with my hands, but get strange looks from people who don't know what I'm doing. :ack

Like tony said, on the open track they only last a few laps before they overheat.

what do you guys think about the yokohama avs es100? Im looking for some good grip tires i can daily drive with and use at the track. my tire size is 225 45 17. 17x8wheels
I was also looking at dunlop sp sport fm901, falken azenis st115 and the falken azenis sport.
I was originally going to get the azenis sports but I didnt think they would have good wet traction(I live in washington and it rains alot) what do you guys think of the tires i mentioned? which ones would have good wet traction and traction at the track?
