whats wrong with aluminum. And fidanza is the only company that makes lightweight flywheels for the KA.
240sxmotoring.com sells spec, clutchmasters and unorthodox flywheels for the KA also.

i think the thing with aluminum is under extreme heat it would warp....where as chromoly won't....but i'm not 100% sure on that..

and plus, no fun in driving some ultra light flywheel shit on the street. you'll drop revs so fast your head will spin. and lol i like the name of that company selling the flywheels on ebay, "loose bolts", i wonder why ? lol

Please don't think anymore ;)

Really no danger in an aluminum flywheel warping on the street. Also not all are created equal...some have decent street manners, some don't depends on how light and what the driving conditions are.

Most people have no clue on how much reducing rotating mass has on a car. Many times underdrive pullies gain is not so much by the underdrive (the common attacked reason they don't work) but by the weight reduction.

I ran an 11 pound Fidanza on my '89 Conquest TSi which I drove back and forth to work 70 miles a day in rush hour traffic (if there is such a thing here in Wisconsin). I had no driveability problems at all, and it seemed to make the car a bit more peppy. It did drop revs rather quickly, but a quick goosing between shifts took care of that. Granted, every car will be different in how it takes to an aluminum flywheel though... What worked for me might not work for the next guy, and vice-versa.

You are talking deliberate abuse conditions....the burnouts are what caused the problem not the drag racing. Extended burnouts can f*ck up a lot of even hardened stuff.

hey, why is there no mention of the JWT flywheel? i have one, and could not be happier....of course, they might run a little more 'spenive....unless you know someone there ;)
