Aight i just made my exhaust about couple of days ago.... it's 2.5inch catback straight pipe... with a stainless steel rolled magnaflow truck tip.... i'm proud of my work cause it took alot of time and skills to make this.... there's a total of two weld on it, one to the flange that bolts onto the cat and the other on the tip...... why 2.5 and not 3... well i don't feel the need to go 3 inch cause it would have hung lower to the ground and it's just plain too big..... i wanted something that look different and good but not hella big show off to the cop like the canister catbacks...

how does it sound u ask?? - so far every1 that has head likes it... some comments were "sound like a domestic", "sounds throaty", "loud but don't sound like a ricer"... stuff like that...

Oh yeah it's not hella loud as i thought it would be cause this is on a sr20 motor.... not ka...

Hear are the pics.... please i'm not looking to be flamed.... i just want some honest opinions on it...

Whats the point of blurring them out again?
If someone sees your car on the street, don't you think they could easily see your plate anyway?

Anyway, I don't really like the looks of it.
Just something about it looks awkward, maybe just because my exaust is so much bigger.

Why do you have an emblem that says turbo?
I guess you feel better about yourself if others know what you have. =X

nice exhaust.
why does it have a turbo emblem.. well lets seee..... i have a turbo motor... but even if i have that people don't think i do unless they hear it bov.... and the comment about feeling better about yourself if others know what you have... hey it took alot of work, elbow grease, and time to get that motor in... so damn right it feels good to let people know what i accomplished... wouldn't u??? it's not like i'm going around racing every1 it's just my daily driver/ cruiser....

Turbo emblem:

Not only does that emblem get attention from other people, but also from cops. Since you live in California, Smog is strictist compared to any state. So if a cop pulls you over for what ever reason and sees that Turbo emblem on your car, theres a good chance he will ask you to pop your hood open. And about all that time and work you put in to swapping your motor in your car, just think about all time it and effort it will take by removing it and putting back in the old motor when the cop writes a smog referal because he sees that you have an illegal engine swapped because he asked to pop your cause he saw that "cool looking" Turbo emblem.

I am not flaming you on the Turbo Emblem, but just giving you a heads up on what could happen.

As far as the exhaust goes I would have to say it is kinda unique I have never seen and exhaust like before on a 240. I don't really like it too much but your Fastback looks sweet with that CF hood and rims, but lose that Turbo Emblem and that stock wing.

No, its a whole 1/2" bigger. :rotflmao
I dunno, plus the way it curves probobly adds to it.

umm, you blur your plate so people searching for cars to steal online cant find out where you live. its one thing for people to see your plate while you're driving, another to post your car online with the plates in view for the whole world to see and be like "ooohhhhhhh! i know where a fast car lives now!"

Nice exhaust its unique... if you made it dual it would look kind of like the Trust DD exhaust...hmm idea... anyways i see you live in Antelope...Maybe we can meet up sometime. I use to live there off of Palmerson. But i always visit. I live in Woodland now. PM me sometime so we can meet.

damn... i was posting about my exhaust... and the topic just changed to blurring plates and my turbo emblem... "sigh"

Very unique looking exhaust. And also I give you props for making it yourself, you sure as hell should be proud of that.

I'd love to actually be able to hear it, but I doubt that'll happen since I live on the other side of the country. :)

Anyway, I don't particularly care for the way it looks, but I will respect it because it's different and you made it yourself, so nice work!!

yeah i like the idea of the straight pipe with no muffler, i saw a pic of the dart izumida exhaust and that was hella cool, no muffler. I would have gone bigger with the piping but you explained yourself about that so i would say its pretty good overall nice work.

<============== post number 240 how cool is that
