why did you buy your SR?

My KA sounded like a freakin tractor , plus it was on its last leg. I had a 200sx ser and loved the sr20de. I was gonna do a swap on that but some douch hit me head on and totaled the car so as soon as i got out of the hospital I found a 240sx. When I finished therapy I got a DET and was on my way.

Bought it because I have a serious addiction to power. I have a nice looking 240 that was screaming to have a beast under the hoood and wasnt very at ease about trying to pull 500whp out of the ka. Now I have show and go . Just to damn bad its crappy out right now where I live so me no drivey my 240 :tears .

i bought one because i hate having a slow, auto powered 240. plus i always wanted a turbo, so yeah...

205hp @ 1800 dollar front clip. = high 13sec stock.
sr20 is best bang for bucks.

my ka24e was crapping out on me and i got a good deal on an sr so i went for it.

I bought my '90 fb with a blown hg on the stock ka24e. I have wanted to mess with a factory turbo'd motor for some time and choice was simple. sr20det>ca18det imo.

sr20det is better for power.... ca18det is better for inter-changeability between other nissan cars..... such as a skyline.... many people with ca18det's here use gtr radiators and injectors cause the radiators match up relatively close and the injectors are top feed like skylines(minus rb25) this means its cheap to get those parts in the junk yards..... now i bought my 180sx for 2000 bucks and it already had a sr20det in it from the factory :thumbsup i have owned a nissan cefiro(think 89-92 maxima) with a skyline rb20det in it and it wasn't all that great....

high 13s with a stock sr?? the only way i see that happening is with a LOT of weight reduction.

I blew the auto ka. The sr is lighter and more powerful then the ka. I wanted my car to be as light as possible so I went with the sr

I though the CA just as much potential as an SR

Did you swap that in a 240 or do you own a Supra? Only asking because i found a site that put the 2jz in a 240. Heres The Site

im buying my SR because i paid $300 for a 240 with a blown motor and blown auto trans and spend the money for a front clip to have a second vehicle with plenty of power on hand

I got the SR for gas milage reasons, and to save weight giving better balance on the canyons. I would rather be n/a at "205hp" but this is a daily car, and i wanted to keep it mostly stock. RB upsets the balance, but some people like a nose heavy car. Plus the car is worth more now, but thats just because of all the kids jumping on the bandwagon.
