Hi ya'll I'm new to the board, I don't own a 240 yet but I'm planning to get one this summer or next fall. Most likely a 89-94, I think they're are cool cars, good lucks, good power I guess, but I don't know much about them. So if you guys would like to flex ur brain muscles please tell me everything I need to know about these cars, what's the best way to get power out of them, etc...

It'd most likely be a street/strip build. I'd have an unlimited disposal to a shop, any tools needed, lift, but I won't be as fortunate with the funds. Hoping to spend less then about 7k, depending on how things go for the rest of the year.

I know there's lots of swaps out there, but I don't know which is what and all the letters and numbers confuse me.

Please guys I'm begging, enlighten me :1bowdown

newbie over and out

Honestly, just search. Especially with how basic and broad you are being you need to do your own searching first. When you get more specific and have actual questions that aren't so general, it'll be much easier to help. But if you wanted someone to right down all the information for you it would probably take about 2 and a half months and cover more pages than the Webster's Dictionary. Not trying to be rude but the search button helped me uncover all sorts of questions I had when I first got into 240s.
Also, with the broadness of your questions, you might be able to get the results you are looking for with a google search also.

a 240 is like any other project car... do what you want with it. If you want cheap power and excellent aftermarket support, get an SR20DET. If you want HUGE power and lots of aftermarket support, get any RB series engine. If you wanna get nutty, put a 13b or a 20b or a 2jz, or a 3sgt in there.. whatever you want!

Yeah, and I heard that someone figured out how to turbo their KA. Who'da thunk it.

Where in Jersey do you live?
I live in brick and I would be more then happy to assist you in whatever you have planned. I also know when 240s go up for sale in my area and could refer them to you.
