Tyler, just to let you know, most 240 owners don't have custom installed systems, if you want to see a hatchback that has them you might want to try looking at some 95-99 eclipses, very famous for them. cardomain.com is your best bet for finding any though, go to the 240sx section and just click the link that says top rated sound system.

The speaker facing upwards is best in this application. Not much room to face it anywhere else either.

I am redesigning the box right now. Currently it is in a 1.5 cu.ft. sealed box (1" thick metal reinforced MDF with bracing). My new box will be 3 cubic feet with a removeable and tuneable port. Daily driving will make it a sealed enclosure and it will be ported during competition.

Right now it sounds absolutely phenominal. 1430 watts PER coil give it unbelieveable bottom end and it can still get loud (like 143 DB at 3/4 gain on a new sensor). I am very interested in getting it into the high 140's with the new set-up.

The reason why it is temporary is because sponsorship came so late last summer that I had to bang this thing together for a few competitions. I will post pics once I have built the new enclosure. Here is a sneak-peak:

I Just put my kappa perfect 6X9 two ways in my rear and moved up my 6.5's to front, and what a suprise to it was!

I had my custom housing materials ready to go to remove what I thought were 4X6 componet, but when I opened the bottom part of the panel I noticed something, the previous owner had put in a custom housing for 6.5" heh

so I just had to drill new holes for the newer speakers to put in, and put everything back together and now I get more noise! heh

so I had to do jack shit for custom work :D

everything in total took about 3 hours, since I had pretty much all of the work done.
