I've seen others re-install the loop but I have not installed mines because I'm not sure if this shaft need to be replace.

What purpose does the loop serve without the bearing from the old shaft? Making the chassis more rigid?

EDIT:
I see other differentiate between 5-speed and Automatic with ABS. Where I ordered the shaft from did not differentiate so maybe I have an Auto shaft w/abs?

39-1/4" is what I have.

the "loop" i think your talking about is the center carrying bearing's support, i dont know if it would even add any support to the driveshaft(hold it up) with the new ones so i dont know if youd need it.

its heavy and is a pain in the ass to bolt back on though...

The loop is actually worth keeping becuase once you remove those inserts it will serve as a safetly loop at the track should you ever break a u-joint ripping down the track at 100mph, trust me it's not a good feeling. Most guys rwd have to buy an aftermarket safety loop.

Haven't driven my S13 since I towed it home a year ago. Also, I still need to put my interior back together and change my oil pan.

I'm certain that the phase 2 motortrend shaft is the same as enjuku's.

foCk, you have an RB, right? I'm sure there are other differences between our setups.
