great 2 or 3 guys keep going on about their horror stories for pages and how the friend of a friend got screwed. People don't understand they're buying a used engine and are too cheap to do preventive maintenance like re-ring and bearings. This is definately getting blown way out of proportion. Boost evolution jipped 30+ people on exhausts but yet everyone still wants to buy from them lmao but jgy gets a salvage titled car that a guy wants a turbo engine in and things break and they're the worst company ever. But did you take the time to read all 27 pages of the page by the guy with the Datsun 210? That doesn't show the slightest bit of customer disrepsect (the burnout) and how many problems there with the car (the owner of the datsun 210 was a five time ase ceritifed mechanic so he knows what he is doing and talking about). It took a while for me to read it all but it was one hell of a reading.
ok this Crazy .. I have done Business with jason for over 2 years now and not ever had one single problem with him ... yeah he has a weird since of humor most people don't get it but thats just who he is .. he has done alot for the SE-R community .. the 210 project he should have probably never taken that job.. i've looked over mAtt's 210 web site and there some things i don't agree with ( mounts, open Tranny tunnel, and throttle cable) .. but some stuff is just crazy .. also you are taking everything that this guy telling you to be the truth .. the guy can make all the excuses he wants if he is ASE certified mechanic then he should have brought the parts and done the work himself other then letting someone else do the work ...
now business will have issues , but if the customer does give you a call then there is no way you can help them out ...maybe he did... but as far i know to my knowledge he didn't.. now i'm making any excuse for Jason but i know Jason i consider him a friend and i think alot of this BS ...

Agreed Robin. I have NEVER had a problem dealing with them. They helped me out A LOT on my SR swap when we had trouble getting it started. Without them... I would still have no running S14 w/ SR probably.

·Someone is a little uptight. I forgot you cant have some kind of fun while running a business. Just because they have a sense of humor and are not afraid of life and afraid of doing things *different* doesnt mean they're unprofessional. If you dont like them because of there sense of humor then im sure you shuold order your parts from someplace else. Order from heavythrottle, yes they have a more *professional* website but then again their prices are much higher.drifts135 said:

i would buy from jgy again and again. i trust them and think there work is still great.
i actually like the photos on the website, at least i know they actually have stuff in stock. most shops today don't order what you want until you pay for it. and they use pictures that they just steal from the web.

i had a problem with them....a few times....i bought a ton of shit from them..the clip i got from them had no intake, intercooler or intercooler piping. Teh engein turned out to have poor compression across cylinders 2 and 3, teh turbo was loose on teh manifold before even being removed from the car. It took them a month to cancel my exhauts order after requesting it canceled several times, then another 2-3 weeks to get my money back....all after waiting over a month for basic Apexi N1 exhaust. When i talked on the phone with them, they were rude and unwilling to cooperate. I refuse to buy anythgin from them to this day and will ward people away if i have the opportunity because all of MY experiences with JGY were terrible. The mear fact that they say a clip comes with extra (the point of paying extra) and then it didnt was rediculous, and all they had to say was..."we have an Rspl FMIC kit inside for sale". Not exactly good customer service. This is all shit i had to deal with, not my friend or friend of a friend, all me. So i can say they are terrible.

Good company? From the two posts I would not buy a soda from them. I am glad people are telling their experiences with companys. Their company maybe good but their quality, and customer service is piss poor. I will refer anyone that is asking about motor swaps to these treads.

a comapny i met yesterday ordered an aluminum test pipe from them last year and recieved a test pipe with surface rust on it and metal shavings inside......
what kind of aluminum rusts? my point exactly......quality is non-existant

If it got to the point where the person spoke with jason, then they were probably a jack ass to the lady that answers the phone and pissed him off. either way. It is opinion. I do not care who does and doesn't buy engines from them or whatever. I will buy parts from them. I trust them, they are local to me and in MY OPINION a good company with good service. You cannot please everyone. And so far I've seen like 2 or 3 actual people have a problem with them. everybody else has been oh i heard my friend's brother bought this from them and it sucked. there was no lady there answering the phone there when i used to call, its been almost a year ago, and both the guys i delt with jerked me around. No one here is bashing youor the fact that you trust them, we are sharing ACTUAL experiences here, not just what we have heard. Everythign i have posted here is what i had to go through with them plus more i did not feel like writing up. IF they want to get on here and exlpain themselves then let them, stop being a middle man. Sometimes people need to stick up for themselves or even companies for that matter. So sit down and realize you are the only one here rooting for them.
