89 240sx hatch 5sp.

Usually the car runs great, but sometimes I will drive to work or whatever, and when i come back out it just doenst start, but it turns over. If i leave it sit for a few days and come back to it, it starts fine. When this first started if i would let it sit for even a few minutes it would start, it seems the time that it doesnt start to when it finally will is getting longer. Ive replaced the Tps,cap, rotor, plugwires, battery and the starter. It might run fine for a week straight, and then with no warning just not start.
Why?

Dude, dont be a dickhead. JDMJustin gave you advice. Dont get mad at us because of your lack of car knowledge. Your last post just made about 1000 certified mechanics that patrionize this forum not want to even touch your post. Take it down a notch...

Lack of car knowledge? Nines, you've really wow-ed me with how much you know, you tell me i lack in knowledge, and then you cant tell me whats wrong, so apparently you lack some too, im not a big enough ass to tell you that you dont know anything considering i dont know you, but what i can tell you is that your an asshole, and you think your a smartass, jdmjustin told me the distributor was getting hot, but ahh it sits outside when im at work for 8-9 hours, isnt that enough time to cool? As for these mechanics, The cars at the shop now, and my mechanic cant figure it out either, so let me guess, he lacks car knowledge too? fucking sit down asshole.

I dont understand why everyone feels the need to make themselves look better over the net. If someone gives you shit, let it go. Who cares?!?! Call me a noob, call me a ***, call me whatever...you wont see my waste my time on here trying to get back at you. But as for your car problems. Start off by checking fire on each plug, then fuel (make sure you are getting enough, but not too much. try a fuel pressure test) <===Autozone can give you the specs on what you are supposed to have. 3 things you need for the car to run are Air, Fuel, Spark. IF you have all of that then you are looking at something mechanical. Like compression on each cylinder, check timing blah blah blah. If you can't find anything out from all those tests then let us know and surely someone will help you out. Just take it easy and dont let anyone get to you. Good luck

almost 25k members and no one has shit to say thats not useless
now that your being an ass, no one will help you, even if they had the answer. Try being nice, and you'll get different results.

People don't sit by their computers waiting for you post, so that they can spend 1 hours looking through electrical diagrams diagnosing your problem, so that you don't have to work/pay for it yourself.

If you expect people to come up with an answer to a electrical problem just by hearing you story, than you may have a lack of knowledge, but I wouldn't draw conclusions based on 5 posts.

To determine why your car does this, someone will have to spend some time testing the system, wires, and try to diagnose it first hand. All we can do is guess.

Its ok, most of us are.

Anyway, the FSM goes through steps on determining these things.
The SOHC FSM looks kinda of cluttered to me, plus I have a DOHC, so your going to have to download it yourself and do what it commands you to. :p
