Well not really, I have had bad luck with my 240sx at the track. Went twice last year with my other 240 and everytime i got to run, my SR20det would act up. I had coil pack problems one day and injector problems another. Maybe my Sr is trying to tell me something. They run great right before i line up at the tree, ohh well

THIS PAST FRIDAY
This time i took out my new 240sx with SR that i built in september 2004. I went to the track and in second gear i blew my turbo manifold gasket and my downpipe lost two bolts  running 12psi. I have a six puck from competition clutch and a VSLD. I noticed on the track and on the street the i have a shit load of WHEEL HOP. So much that i had a 2.7 60ft. Do i need subframe bushings and what else can i do to eliminate this wheel hop??

get good tires and use either stock rear suspension or set the suspension to soft to take the impact of the launch, and if you have a viscous LSd there should be even less problems....

I ran a 14.3 with only 7psi last time i dragged, i was using almost bald falken azenis soft set KYB shocks, and a 3k rpm launch and my best 60ft was 2.0 sec....

its all about the launch and the general setup, subframe bushings will not change wheel hop, it stiffens up the rear end under abuse

list what rpm u launch at and the cars current setup.....then i can tell ya more.

The sr gods do not like me at the track, i have 235/45/17 michelin tires in the back with stock springs. I did a search on subframe bushings and everyone states that should eliminate wheel hop, I read it on a website also

I would think your old busted stock suspension plays a big role in this. Also, lowering your pressure would have helped them grab a little better.

So, your SR didn't actually act up, but rather your suspension?

forget him

yeah some subframe spaces will help a lot. also if you have coil overs, toss in your old stock springs and struts. they will help a lot too.

lunch at 2500 and slip it out.. keep rasing it till you spin at the lunch and back it off a bit or warm up your tires more.

i went out and got a 15.0 at 92. with like 2.5 60's and im damn near bone stock for HP mods (cone intake. 7 psi). but i was running 225's =\ and some stiff as hell skyline coilovers. if i had swapped in my stock s13 blown struts i should have gotten a lot better 60's. but the skyline coil overs didn't have enough give in them.

good luck.
