Should I start naming off FWD's drive that run the drag strip. Could be here for awhile naming them off. I'm not so dumb that I am saying a RWD won't get better times. Its a whole different class of car. As in the AWD, say the Eclipse GSX. It gets better times than a Turbo'd GS or RS (FWD may I add). Its a whole different class. Don't think you can't drag a FWD car.

200hp in that car would be fun for daily driving.
not to mention it's truly old school, lol...and old school ROCKS.
with some suspension/tire work, you could easily autoX that car and be competitive (w/ engine upgrades too, of course).

Yeah I wasn't really looking for old school but when I seen the car I liked it. And then when I went and looked at it and seen how clean it was I was like this is cool. And your so right at 200hp it will be fun.. Just need to drop it on some coilovers and put some nice rims and tires on it. I took it to my mechanics yesterday he flipped out. Started naming off sh*t we could do to it. I said whoe.. just put a clutch in it for now OK killer. =)

b4 yall get to ddep into this. tryiian dont care abotu drag.
i think his question was more focused on that a fwd corolla isnt exactly the type of popular fwd drag car.
as for me i could care less bout drift its neat but not me. which is wht im gettign a v8. but there are a few fwds i dont hate.

Maybe oneday I will tune it for that, who wants to buy my 240? I'll cut ya deal if you got some 16" to 17" rims with good tires on them. That will fit my corolla ofcourse. Hey if I get rid of my 240 you guyz gonna shun me outta hanging out here. I kinda like it here. :tears

iCant imagine you getting rid of it, chris, but... yeah you`re welcome here anahow. brandon likes you as long as your from a state`s distance of here, he doesn`t seem to care about what you drive. the corolla would make an interesting autocrosser with the rally style of driving, make it slightly twitchy, but low an stable in th front end. you could go flying aroun with a little sliding in th back and a lot of torque in the front, that`d be wicked fast in the twisty and technical stuff. iDunno how safe it`d be at 80 on rough AL highways though.

Well so far with the stock susupension it runs real smooth on the highways. I know once I get a stiff suspension on it though it won't handle the interstate as well. I got the car in Prattville so on the way back to b'ham I was runnin 90+ sometimes 100+, it depended on how many times me the accord I was messing with decided to pass each other. Its a fun car to drive so far. But your right a tight road race would be alot fun in a car this small. It would be a daemon on the tight turns.

maybe you should try it out once, takumi. i`m sure the night and day difference of fwd and stock susp would be all the discouragement you could need.

Yeah even the RSX pretty stiff stock suspension will allow the car to "plow" pretty bad if you push it hard.

Aight, i'm pressed with a little bit of an issue here.
Should i forge ahead and keep buildin on the monster engine that i'm workin on. hopefully i'll be getting my money back this week (please lord i'm tired of having my money gone) and buy all the internals and do the machine work on the block and head
OR!
Should i just throw a small turbo on the engine i got and maybe be able to spank a GT or a stock lude? Wouldn't be alot of HP maybe about 250 at the tops.

I kinda want to go ahead and keep building on the other engine but having that vrmm psht sound is drawing me in.

So, I'm thinking about KAT within 1 year or so (95 DE, 108k miles). Questions for rseabrooke (robert?):

1. What fuel management are you running (your sig says FMU)?

2. Does the BD downpipe directly connect to your exhaust? Did you keep the cat or do you have a test pipe? I read that the BD downpipe does not line up with other aftermarket catbacks.

The stage 1 BD kit looks very tempting, although I'm not sure why the kit comes with a T3/T04 instead of the cheaper T3. Anybody know? I don't want lag or a stratospheric HP.

That is an easy one. Get a big cheap turbo and put it on your current motor. Talk to jess about how to do it because his beat KA is lasting forever even on 17psi.
