dude the stuff you do is amazing. i couldn't stand doing all of that wiring i'd be a wreck
Thanks. It's taken a lot of time to pay attention to little details like I have, but the finished product will make everything worthwhile. As for the wiring, that chit drives me nuts too, which is why I enlisted Russ' help. I am good at soldering, cleaning up, and securing wires, but have trouble when it comes to logistics surrounding which ones I need and where they should be routed.

keep it rocking man.. hope every thing turns out fine for ya.. !!!
ya i love using the sandblasters..i have one just like that with the return (vacum)

we also have a Glassbedder....works good for smaller higher detailed parts..
Thanks...I'm sure it will. Does your sandblaster have a separate line to vacuum the sand after it exits the blast nozzle? If so, that'd be awesome. One of the few downsides to our large sandblaster is that it gets sand everywhere.

I mostly use the beadblaster cabinet for small things as you mentioned. Works great on exhaust components like turbine outlets and exhaust manifolds.

It wasn't the prettiest thing, no. Mainly burned-on oil and some cam and cylinder wall scuffing. It sucks that I've had to spend lots of time and money getting it right, but the engine rebuilding experience has been extremely valuable.

hey andy... you're totally gay... see you at the meet?

Coming along nicely it seems! Keep up the good work!
Thanks... I finished up some more stuff today, and plan to do about 6 hours worth of work tomorrow. I'll try to get some update pictures posted soon.

Taking alot of photos of the SR build? That would be very informative to someone like me. :thumbsup
Yes, actually, I am. I would like to do a "SR Rebuild" webpage someday, but cannot seem to find the time.

If by "gay," you mean "ultra cool race-bling pioneer," then yes, I am. :cool I'm not going to the meet, as I have to drop my engine in (hopefully). there's still a slight chance I'll come, but it's not likely.

yeeeeah, so i forgot that the triad sports car club has an autocross on the 22nd and since im an officer i have to be there so i'll probably just be there later at the meet.

Ummm...$589/each, maybe? Seriously, money is the big concern here. I would like to have a full SPL setup (front and rear) eventually, but money is limited.

$589 each? shit, nevermind. i understand then.
i thought it was 589 for both like everything else (multi link) on the site.

I thought it was $589 for one since the line reads "SPL pro front lower arm S13 $589" and the ones sold as a pair read "(pair)" for the most part.

If they were $589 for a pair (which they still might be), I would consider them more seriously. Thanks for the input though.

Regular seatbelts...loser! All the :supercool kids run 5+ point harnesses. Good luck with the wiring...it takes a helluva lot of time.

What's a "Painless switch panel?"

Chassis and engine wiring are reconditioned OEM. The chassis stuff was stripped heavily and will be rebound and refastened. This is about 50% done as the wires underneath the dash (when it's reinstalled) need to be cut to final length, bound, and secured. A lot of this has been relocated from the engine bay, so it's a WIP (Work In Progress).

After the engine is dropped in, my friend Russ is going to come back up to help finish everything off. We are going to use some nice heat-resistant loom in the engine bay, hiding as many wires as possible, and then finish up the underdash portion in a similar manner.
