after a VERY long time and way too much research, the DE is finally turboed. i was going to keep it a secret until the Buford Dam meet this month, but i cant hold out any longer. its a temp setup that was installed and running in 4 days, but it seems to be working well. its leaking a little oil which i will be investigating tomorrow, but other than that its running great. setup is:
-T3 turbo from RB20
-E&E T3 manifold
-370cc injectors
-Walbro 255
-EGR block-off
-A'PEXi S-AFCII
-recirc pipe
-VDO boost gauge
-3" DP
-RB20 BOV (will be replaced with something else shortly)

it sounds nasty. with the JWT cams at idle, it lopes like crazy and almost wants to die out, but at WOT it moves its ass. im guessing its around 210-220hp without an intercooler. the intercooler will be done this week, but i was pressed for time.

the entire cost of this was right around $800. ill get some pics up here shortly. im just lazy.

Sweet man. In GA huh? I'm in Fl. How much boost? I've forgotten what the RB20 runs boost wise.lol Well good luck with the car man. Its fun as hell as long as you keep it maintained and in check.

Congrats..always nice to see a completed KA-T:D...can't wait to finish mine...stuff's goin to the machine shop tomorrow

adoboboy - the manifold was fabbed at the shop. it was used originally on my boss' S14 until he blew the motor. :(

mrbojangles - come check us out if you get the chance. the info for the Buford Dam meet is under the southeast section on this forum, or under Meets on the Georgia board. the link is in my sig. :)

epokh - thanks. im going to try to get pics up soon. ive just been too busy to do anything as of late. best of luck on yours.

nissanfanatic - were running a conservative 7lbs for the time being. i dont want to blow anything up just yet. ;)

Good thinking. Finally someone who doesn't want 300whp out of a stock ECU and FMU.lol I ran 6psi for eight months until I got my ECU tune. It pays off to keep it safe.

a little update:

our best guess is that the wastegate got stuck open after the second hard pull. the RB20 T3 went to shit shortly afterwards. the shaft snapped in half and blew the exhaust wheel out of the downpipe. :(

the good news is that the engine still runs great and ill be getting a bigger turbo in the near future. T66 woot woot! :D

awesome... i sent an email a few weeks back but never got a response. just on asking what the prices would be for a RB20 motorset and some other things.

Also i heard you guys had a lil fun in my friend, Charle's evo lol. Put like 50 miles or sumthin on it. It so godly fast now that hes sponsored by Batlground... got 1600 in parts just for signing bonus and is the worlds fastest evo on a stock turbo :D

MrBojangles, I think I did return your email, what is your adress again? I'll check. We work on CHarles EVO, it is damn fast, makes me want to go get one for myself. We put a Electric cut-out switch on it and it threw a code on us the first time we drove it, and it would only do it every so often, so we had to figure out why, it took some driving to figure out that if you let the valve stay open for than than about 15 minutes while driving it would throw a code, so we had to fit it before we gave it back, not like we were out joy riding it, gotta test it out to make sure it will be fine when plays around with it.
