wow, I'll have to get you pics of a passat wagon that a guy I know has. Well, when he's done with it. It'll look great and blow the doors off of most 240's.

The last car he had was a mkIII golf with a vr6t putting down 430whp

thats some impressive power for a VW but its still a VW. I dont know if youve noticed but most of our 240's arnt good looking at all. Most have curb damage, dings, and whatnot. Gives the car a sleeper look like it should have.

430hp is nice but it's still a VW? How many nice VW's have you been inside, or driven? The higher trim levels usually have good looking interiors IMO (no tweed there, sorry), and aside from some electrical problems they're pretty well put together little cars.

I don't know. I think my 93 240sx was almost up to par with my 04 vw. I mean those really dim interior lights and the dash lights for the temp controls that would only work half the time are soooo much better than the soft blue and red lighting that goes all through the vw. And those crappy tweed seats with holes worn in them, that are also as hard as a rock, blow the nice svelt stock vw seats out of the water.

And the obnoxious interior rattle and all that damn road noise could never beat the a nice quite cabin of a VW that stays quite up to oh, I've only had it to 130....

The only good things about my 240sx were the rwd, seating positions, and handling...

I have another friend with an 87 MKII gti with a MKIII vr6t swap. He got busted for running from the cops when his accelerator cable came off. And that was dumb in the first place, but it had a sharp interior and you know your car's fast when you're sitting at the police station and the cops are watching the vidoes with comments like "Look at him pull on that (cop) car, look at him pull! Look at him pull!"....

he he....anyone have any 240 stories like that?

oh, and I love these comments, but it's still a vw. How about the new gti 2.0t that they're getting over 278whp out of with just a chip and some small bolt ons? But it's still a VW.

And the srt-4's that will smoke a lot of cars out there and it's $20k. But it's still a dodge.

And those STI's that have 300hp/300ft/lbs tq and are capable of some big hp numbers....still it's just a subaru.

And those 350z's that make 350-375 whp with a greddy tt kit. It's still just a nissan....

but not a lot of them put out 350 whp, let alone 430.... but it's still just a vw...

i think the rsx will own you...i have a sr kouki and a type s...type s walks it
sounds like you need to spend 100 bux and put an mbc on the sr haha

1000 bucks into that type s and i can net like 30whp...but 1000 bucks in that sr would just give me insane amounts im sure...not sure which to do really
ahh just depends, i'd put the money into the 240 and use the rsx as a daily. or spend 500 on each.

i already know i can own a RSX Type S. Watched 3 of them run at the track and the best time out of the 3 was a 14.6. I ran a 14.2 while spinning 1st and 2nd at 12psi with SMIC. Ive tried racing a Silver Type S in Hanover but the kid saw me pull on a Trans Am from 2nd and 3rd gear so he got scared and wouldnt race me. A guy i know in an Integra Type R wanted to race me then i gave him a ride and he says he would get killed by my SR. I am running 14psi with FMIC and supporting mods now so it moves pretty good.

As for VW sucking, i raced a GTI VR6 and owned it pretty bad. It was stock but i owned it none the less.

rsx's can easily break the 13 second barrier...give them a cool night...good tires...along with cai/rh/exhaust/hondata #4....with these mods i've seen an average of 14.2's and a few 13.9's....you know but 3500 in an rsx will get you into the 12's

alright alright, now were gettin into a real topic... VW's, lol an let me tell you, driving volkswagens is the shznt..

I got a '91 GTi w/ a 2.8l 12v VR6cylinder an it fuckin rips. Just a couple boltons to the motor like eurosport intake & underdrive pulley, techtonics chip & exhaust.

**EDIT**
Dopple- I bet my VR6 would give you a run for its money, im nailin low 14's when i get decent traction, thats with my 17's roastin thru 2nd. What year GTi was it, like a 95 or newer an completely stock?
